great song. the most underrated if you ask me.

wanna talk about underrated? how bout "Song of the Century"? It's EPIC.

That song does have great lyrics and an awesome vibe, but I don't think it's as underrated as See the Light. From what I hear from fans on GDC and other places, See the Light doesn't get mentioned a whole lot. And SOTC seems to, just because of how differernt it is. See the Light sounds like an average Green Day song, so it gets pushed under the rug, when it really shouldn't.

I think the verses are so awesome, and the chorus is really catchy. And the guitar solo is great too. And the ending is the perfect ending 21CB could've had. I love when the beginning and the end of something connect, whether it's in movies, TV shows, or in songs, so this song gets extra kudos for being similiar to 21CB.

I love the way the drums sound in this song when Billie sings "And I pound the pavement" (I think thats what the lyric is :/ ) , really suits the lyrics :D

the first time i listened to the album, i cried when this ended. more specifically, i got angry and threw a hissy fit saying 'it is NOT over!!! that was NOT 70 minutes!! that was NOT the last song!!' haha awe :)

i love this song. i suppose thats what i'll always connect it with, me listening through the album for the first time and crying when it was over. but hey, that's why god invented 'repeat' ;)

Couldn't have said it better myself. Such an epic genius Green Day song.

This song really gives me hope!

Well, I have now commented every song - and never had one bad word. Well I do have my favourites and lesser favourites but I love the whole album and this lyrics are magical.

I just wanna see the light!

I don't want to lose my sight! -

I need to know what's worth the fight!

So true!

How can this man write such powerful lyrics?

well when I listened to it the first time i didn't notice :o but now I think it`s really the best song to end 21stBD because in someway it is kind of hopeful don't know why

I fucking love the ending fade away riff... its the PERFECT end to an album

I love the song as a whole. I do think its the best song to end the album with though because of the hope that it does resemble in it.

It's been stuck in my head ALL DAY which is weird because it's probably one of the least played songs off 21CB for me.

Becoming one of my favorites. Just listened to it again, and it blows me away every time. I love how it ends the same way it starts. And the lyrics and music are just awesome. The guitar solo is so simple, but lovely. I just love this song.

This is my favourite song on the record. I think they made the right choice on making this the last song on the record. 21 Guns is an amazing song, no doubt, but there's just something about See The Light I can't exactly pinpoint. It's like,,, hopeful? Yeah, I think that's it, it makes me feel hopeful. I think the band outdid themselves on this song, they lyrics, the melody, everything fits together without a fault...

Even my Granda would have liked these lyrics, and he hated rock/punk of any sort, he used to quote something similar to me alot as a kid, and it makes me think of him. He died August 2008, and this song means a lot to me cause it kinda reminds me of him, and things he used to say.

one of green day's underrated song's.

I was confused when I first heard this song  Because the start of it is almost identical to 21st Century Breakdown...

But anyway~ I love it!

It's the bright shiny light at the end of the album and shows hope.

I think this song should be a single...

Anyone agree?

No, I think it's too slow.
