Drew Holiday Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Not my favorite, but still a good song.Great solo in the middle =D
Metanoia Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 such a good last song for the album ..... love it to hear as the last.... beautiful song
Sunshine2385 Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 overall I just love this album, it's epic and beautiful
The Disappearing Boy Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 great song. the most underrated if you ask me.
Sarahnade. Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 wanna talk about underrated? how bout "Song of the Century"? It's EPIC.That song does have great lyrics and an awesome vibe, but I don't think it's as underrated as See the Light. From what I hear from fans on GDC and other places, See the Light doesn't get mentioned a whole lot. And SOTC seems to, just because of how differernt it is. See the Light sounds like an average Green Day song, so it gets pushed under the rug, when it really shouldn't.I think the verses are so awesome, and the chorus is really catchy. And the guitar solo is great too. And the ending is the perfect ending 21CB could've had. I love when the beginning and the end of something connect, whether it's in movies, TV shows, or in songs, so this song gets extra kudos for being similiar to 21CB.
Jimmy the Kid Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 IMO, this is the worst song on the album..... :down:For me, this is the best song. I love every line of it... the chorus has a epic sound to it. Really goodThat song does have great lyrics and an awesome vibe, but I don't think it's as underrated as See the Light. bjrules Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 I love the way the drums sound in this song when Billie sings "And I pound the pavement" (I think thats what the lyric is :/ ) , really suits the lyrics
kazoo Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 the first time i listened to the album, i cried when this ended. more specifically, i got angry and threw a hissy fit saying 'it is NOT over!!! that was NOT 70 minutes!! that was NOT the last song!!' haha awe i love this song. i suppose thats what i'll always connect it with, me listening through the album for the first time and crying when it was over. but hey, that's why god invented 'repeat'

Such an epic genius Green Day song.
Library Girl Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Well, I have now commented every song - and never had one bad word. Well I do have my favourites and lesser favourites but I love the whole album and this lyrics are magical. I just wanna see the light! I don't want to lose my sight! - I need to know what's worth the fight! So true! How can this man write such powerful lyrics?
Li Sa Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 well when I listened to it the first time i didn't notice but now I think it`s really the best song to end 21stBD because in someway it is kind of hopeful don't know why
cmrnmrphy Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 I fucking love the ending fade away riff... its the PERFECT end to an album
greendayfan_0491 Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 I love the song as a whole. I do think its the best song to end the album with though because of the hope that it does resemble in it.
Heather! Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 It's been stuck in my head ALL DAY which is weird because it's probably one of the least played songs off 21CB for me.
Sarahnade. Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Becoming one of my favorites. Just listened to it again, and it blows me away every time. I love how it ends the same way it starts. And the lyrics and music are just awesome. The guitar solo is so simple, but lovely. I just love this song.
MakeMeTheIdiotAmerica Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 This is my favourite song on the record. I think they made the right choice on making this the last song on the record. 21 Guns is an amazing song, no doubt, but there's just something about See The Light I can't exactly pinpoint. It's like,,, hopeful? Yeah, I think that's it, it makes me feel hopeful. I think the band outdid themselves on this song, they lyrics, the melody, everything fits together without a fault...I just wanna see the light! I don't want to lose my sight! - I need to know what's worth the fight!Even my Granda would have liked these lyrics, and he hated rock/punk of any sort, he used to quote something similar to me alot as a kid, and it makes me think of him. He died August 2008, and this song means a lot to me cause it kinda reminds me of him, and things he used to say.
The Disappearing Boy Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 one of green day's underrated song's.
Bubbles. Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I was confused when I first heard this song Because the start of it is almost identical to 21st Century Breakdown... But anyway~ I love it!
E!!i Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 It's the bright shiny light at the end of the album and shows hope.
Bubbles. Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 I think this song should be a single...Anyone agree?
E!!i Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I think this song should be a single...Anyone agree?No, I think it's too slow.
