I dont know, but the Hives sound like they're on speed or something, and I dont think this song sounds like that at all. Well, maybe if you had an example of a Hives song that sounds like this I'd get where you're coming from, but off the top of my head I can only think of "Two Timing Touch and Broken Bones." Maybe "Tick Tick Boom" sounds more like this, but still not really.

Haha, one of the comments of the youtube vid of the song says:holy shit this is like horse shoes and handgrenades with different lyrics.I hear sooome similarities, but I think they're pretty different. Too different to call HAHG a rip-off. The only similarity I hear is the beginning guitar and the very beginning rhythm-wise.
Clayish Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 An interesting fact i found was that the Sex Pistol song "Holidays in the Sun"(which is my fav. Sex Pistol song) got Billie Joe into Punk.The beginning of this song is ALMOST identical to Holidays in the Sun, with the army marching.
