petros Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 It's a great song and i hope green day can get over of all this piano and this song is exactly what i wanted from them..
JaninaStar Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 After hearing KYE I just _knew_ that this album was going to be amazing. It sounded so good, and it still does. KYE has become one of my fave GD songs, for sure. It's a perfect GD song; the fast speed, the strong lyrics, everything. Can't wait to hear it live in June.
P3AC3MAK3R Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 ohh i love this song and i can play it on bass aswelll
bjrules Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I love this song. I really do think that its kind of underrated amongst fans, since lots of them say it shouldn't have been the first single. But I think that it was a good choice. This song is really fun to play on the guitar, even though there aren't many chords in it. This song is my 2nd most played song from 21st Century Breakdown, something about it just makes me always want to listen to it all the time.
Just Kate Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 oh baby, this one kicks ass!i just don't like it when they play it live and they extend it forever. it just doesn't feel right. american idiot can be extended to ten minutes even, but this one just doesn't feel right to me :/
Micky Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 ^ same here!so much energy you can't stand there without jumping
Maddy. Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Exactly. Even though I bashed my shins against the front seat when I was jumping. I think I still have the scar, it bled.
Micky Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I was in the front line and I couldn't breathe among those sweaty bodies. I was so squeezed that I was obliged to jump during Know Your Enemy I found myself raised off the floor. I was flying
Maddy. Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Yeah, I was levitating throughout the entire show. It was magic. I love how Green Day does that to me.
AleKerplunk Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 i love the live version with the Billie's guitar solo.is so awesome
Eeefaa. Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Me and my dad are trying to figure out the riff for this song, but we suck i love it though... people say its one of the worst on the album but i still love it it always gets the crowd going!!
Just Kate Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 ^are you kidding? this is awesome first single. it's forcing people to wake up from the shit madness and to focus on them for once at least. to gain them some attention to me it's perfect first single
Anette Leone Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 I love that song! It's strong and the lyric is very good. I listen to that and I imagine the audience jumping at the chorus during a concert!
in_your_face Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Well, i liked it when i heard it for the first time! it's pretty good, but i don't like it now. it's kinda old. (like Dai said)
Foxboro Holiday Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 "This urgency will rise, when the bloods been sacrificed" favourtite line, I just love shouting it out. There's so much truth, and really meaningful.
Trina Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I love this song, and this album but I have to say I think the production is absolutly awful. Butch Vig really did a terrible job. :\ Green Day are so amazing at producing themselves and I understand they feel they need an outside opinion because they get so sucked into it all but seriously, they should just produce themselves. Lights Out, Hearts Collide and the cast album all sound incredible. The production is perfect and they're the one's who produced it. I really hope they never work with Butch Vig again. Does anyone else think the production is bad? :\
DecanoLP Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 The studio version is perfect... But the live version is even more than that!
Lotte Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I really love this song I still remember the first time I heard it My mom called me and she was like "You gotta listen to this song, it's amazing!" xD
sassafrasroots_ Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 I really didn't like this when it first came out as a single, i don't know what it is about it but i just couldn't stand it. But like some of the others have said after listening to it with the whole album you really start to understand and apreciate it. I now can't stop listening to it It's so much better live though imo, the atmosphere
jimmy FOD Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 only like the Guitar solo and the OEW oew part ..and Yea The drums r also great
green-day1972 Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I like Know Your Enemy live version more than studio version =)
Schlappy Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 people have said that they liked this song at first but it has gotten old, well its actually the opposite for me. the first time i heard it was before i bought the album and i hated it! i was so upset because i became unsure about the rest of the album. but now that i've heard it with the entire album it really seems to have grown on me. funny how that happens I like Know Your Enemy live version more than studio version =) 100% agree
