Devilsaint Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Always one thing on my mind when i hear this song.. BJ, Mike and Tré running on stage, right in front of me.. It was so surreal, and so fucking awsome at the same time.....
mikedirntluvssleepy Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 I think this song is soo amazing an I'm actually class of 13 so I'm trying to make this our class song haha that would be epic cuz they play the class song at graduation and the class sings haha that'd ROCKK!!!!
AliceArmatage Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 I enjoy listening to this song loads. It's great. Hearing this live, is amazing. Like their others are, of course. But this was one of my favorites live.
ChelseaWhatsername Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 This is such an awesome song!Q It gives you a good rush of adrenaline, especially when the Class of 13 part comes in. And live, It's amazingggg. Really wish it would've gotten more votes in the contest...
Anette Leone Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 the song is amazing. The lyric tells a little bit of American history and politics. I'm curious to know more about USA history because of that song. And the video is perfect!
Vaso.Of.Suburbia Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 I think I finally understood one of the lines! <!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->I praise liberty, the freedom to obey is a song that strangles me. Well don't cross the line!<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> I think that liberty is read 'liberty', so then he's saying how america (and the rest of the west) is the land of liberty except you're not really free at all, you're free to obey, go to school, get a 9-5 job that you hate and then die. But No-One (the long lost son) is already feeling trapped by this and when he tries to get out, he's told not to cross the line (?) it made sense in my head. hmmmm... i don't know why, but the phrase "don't cross the line" reminds me something like don't overdo it or something like that.....
rekk38 Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 the song and the video is amazing. btw it wasn't my favourite when i first listened to the album but now i really really really love it
saraHsunshine Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 I do love this song! It sums up a lot of shit that has happened in the US over the last 20 years and how that is effecting the American people. Today I thought of it while I was at the gym running. I looked up at the TVs and realized it is not even safe to exercise without being fed media bullshit. I mean they had Opra, next to news about the miners who may still be alive but trapped and running out of air, next to Judge fucking Judy, next to news about Tiger Woods and Dancing with the Stars, next to a medical show endorsing a kids lunch box with built in compartments to combat obessity. BULLSHIT ON A SPOON. Mass consumption. Ugh. Rant over.

BULLSHIT ON A SPOON. Mass consumption. Ugh. Rant over. 20 years? More like 40 years. Starts in about 1970 in the beginning of the song ("Born into Nixon" - Nixon was US Prez in '69 if I'm not mistaken)
saraHsunshine Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 20 years? More like 40 years. Starts in about 1970 in the beginning of the song ("Born into Nixon" - Nixon was US Prez in '69 if I'm not mistaken) Yes he was! I was simply relating it to my perspective! I am only 20
JT of Suburbia Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 i know this has been said many times but i prefer the demo especial the lines "there is a war thats inside my head that questions the results and lies..." i can really relate to that
