Green Day 13 Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 this is one of my favorites on the album. i love how the name of the song was changed just by changing the ! to ?. in a way it kind of reminds me of Misery on Warning
plasticpictureframe Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 This song is my favorite on the album. Everytime I hear it, a shiver runs down my spine.
Sharmellow Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Is it just me or does this song sound somewhat similar to Misery and Blood, Sex and Booze? Like music wise.Anyway, I love it when Green Day makes fun songs like this.
Dookie93 Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Oh and the "GLOORIAA" in the background!! Oh my god, that's the part that makes it a beautiful song
Laura! Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 I just love this song! For some reason, I know Im not the only one... but... I love how he sings 'liar' in the line 'little girl little girl you dirty liar'.Its one of my favorites on the album.
iLozza! Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 I haven't tired of this song since the album came out. It sounds a lot like misery, which is another of my favourite songs.
39smoooth Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Lyrically one of Billie's best, and not the line "you dirty liar",but the whole bridge section from "the traces of blood" to when he says "sister of grace"easily the best song on 21CB
jesus the rage guy Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 is a god-damn songis really goodreally catchyreminds me to some girls i know...so i sing the song to them
spark in the night Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 I like the whammy bar during "the charlatans and saints of your abandon"very rockabilly/psychobilly - ish
Tubbie Head Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 I LOVE when in the song, there is a verse going and in the background you hear Gloriaaaaa Oh gosh! And I LOVE when Billie sings Sister of gra-a-aceThe mascara tears from your getaway... GLORIAAA!!YEAAH! I fell the same! +_+ I really love those parts.. Billie's SISTER OF GRAACE!! Is amazing.. I dunno.. it feels so good to hear that xD This song is amazing! I love everything about it! It was the song that really got me when I heard the album for the first time.. (the leak) and after that I decided not to hear it more until I had the album in my hands.. And only THIS song.. I was like singing all the time! especially the part: "Litle Girl, Litle Girl You dirty liar!!" It was constantly in my head.. and I was always reppeting this line in my thoughts... hahahah I also love to hear the song live.. and love all the gestures that Billie does during the song! xD
Penguin Puffball Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I like this one. It reminds me of 'Misery'. I like how in the first verse it's all kinda quiet and then it explodes into this huge thing, like they did with the first Viva la Gloria song.
Tiffx Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 This song is my favourite off 21CB right now. The lyrics just mean so much to me. Wow it really has grown on me and I can't stop listening to it.
Erica. Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 I like how the music in the very beginning and towards the end is the melody of Restless Heart Syndrome, especially because it's the next track on the album.
jose armstrong Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 I like the whammy bar during "the charlatans and saints of your abandon"very rockabilly/psychobilly - ish me too and the effects during "your bloodshot eyes will show your heart of treason"
The Disappearing Boy Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 brilliant song. i love the lead guitar during the second verse, i am trying, and failing to learn it by ear.
Brian Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I always get this song confused with Restless Heart Syndrome, because the piano... but it send shivers up my spine when they went into the chorus of "Runawaaay!"
Kaddi. Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 This song is my favourite off 21CB right now. The lyrics just mean so much to me. Wow it really has grown on me and I can't stop listening to it.Same here. Sometimes, I think Billie wrote this song for me, because some lines just fit perfectly. Some weeks ago, I felt really bad and I drove around with the car and listened to 21st CB and cried all the time... and then Billie sang "Little girl, little girl, why are you crying?" I felt as if he talked to me, but it made me cry even more. And then, there's "There is no place like home, when you got no place to go". This is how I felt after my parents had told me that they're getting divorced.I love how the chorus starts with "Runawaaaaaay" and then there's another line I can perfectly relate to: "(Runaway) from the river to the street", because this is what I do when I feel bad... I go on long walks and try to forget everything. It's an awesome song and yeah... it's my personal anthem somehow.
Clayish Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Same here. Sometimes, I think Billie wrote this song for me, because some lines just fit perfectly. Johnny Higher Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 In the lyrics of GDAAt the end of the song the last chorus there is no this sentence: "When you got no place to go"
Zo-e Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I love this song, and i love how it sounds, well old-timeish?like can't you see billie singing in like, an old western bar or something?with horses and everything?lol he could be the sherriff(:
emmaILGD! Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 ^ Thanks for the image I really love this song, I like how Billie sings ''you dirty liar''. And the guitar solo just reminds me of when I first saw that video of them in the studio in October '08.
Ila Reto Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 again, this song will make me feel guilty every time i hear it untill im 6 feet under. my favroite lyrics are:"the traces of blood always follow you home, like the mascara tears from your getaway"and i like the wry sarcasm in the song, like you can tell Christian's holding her in contempt yet tries to sound sympathetic "little girl why are you crying?"
The Disappearing Boy Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 'Little girl, Little girl you dirty liar'.Best 10 seconds of the album.
