Love the misery-ness of this song.

Yeah.. It reminds me of myself.

I know this is a song I'll never get bored of. It definitely has a place in my 'favourite songs ever' list.

"Little girl, little girl

why are you crying?

Inside your restless soul your heart is dying"

again, me.

And I love how Billie (and Mike) sing/s "In the wake all the way//No rhyme or reason"

Also I love the piano bits in it, and that solo(?) starting when he sings "Sister of grace" - I loved it the first time I heard it in those youtube vidoes months ago.

I see it as Christian bascially calling out Gloria for being a hypocrite like shes passing her self as something good whos trying to change everything and everyone around her by getting them to not do all this shit while at the same time shes doing the same damn shit herself.

That's how I see it too.

I freakin love dynamics of Gloria and Christian on this album.

Both Gloria songs are incredible.

I know its simply amazing how Christian and Gloria are described through out the album ranging from the love that they had for eachother to their own personal demons that they battle throughout.

Each Gloria song is amazing I love how its ranges from complete love in the Viva la Gloria to absolute hate, and disgust in viva la gloria (little gloria)

I don't have much to say about this song, other than the fact that I love everything about it.

I can't begin to tell you how much I love this song. I understand that it's about drug problems. But this song calls to me in a much different way. I think about it in the same way that Ila Reto said. I'm Christian, and I'm yelling at Gloria (in my particular situation). And it's like I'm saying: "Why the fuck did you lie to me?! Was it fun? I hope it was, because now, I'm going to do EVERYTHING I can to give you hell. I'm going to tell everyone I know about you and your fucking lies. I hope you start feeling guilty, and I hope that fucking guilt eats you up inside until there's nothing left. I hope you fucking DIE." That's the way I think of this song, and that's how it relates to me and my personal life.

Same here.

I think he's really pissed off, cuz she lied. She's crying, so that's a sign that she's sorry for that. And in this part

The traces of blood

Always follow you home

Like the mascara tears

From your getaway

Your walking with blisters

and running with shears

So unholy.

Sister of grace.

Christian is basicly telling her that she is guilty for the things he did. And the last 2 lines is about her becoming something opposite of what he thought she is.

Hmm, I think the song is a bit overrated, but that's just me. The Gloria songs are definitely not my favorites. I do like the line "Inside your restless soul your heart is dying", though.

Tied for favorite song off the album. Incredible, I feel a big connection with this song, as it's about someone who's idealistic and stands for something, yet themselves and what they do is hypocritical or self destructive.

So unholy

Sister of grace

I LOVE when in the song, there is a verse going and in the background you hear Gloriaaaaa  Oh gosh!

And I LOVE when Billie sings Sister of gra-a-ace

That part really gets me too -- *so* full of tragedy and despair, it's as if Christian is almost pleading for someone to save Gloria instead of the other way around. Sends chills up my neck whenever I hear it. The verse is:

The traces of blood

Always follow you home

Like the mascara tears

From your getaway (Glo-ri-aaaaaa...)

You're walking with blisters

And running with shears

So unholy

Sister of grace

To be honest, I didn't like this song in the beginning, but now I love it. It's so beautiful.

I love the part:

"Little girl, little girl you dirty liar

You're just a junkie preaching to the choir"

I just realized today - though this has happened several times - that, if I'm not paying full attention, the intro to this song always makes me think I'm about to hear Restless Heart Syndrome. The piano part sounds like a little variation on "I'm elated, medicated, I am my own worst enemy." And I'm thinking that's probably on purpose. The two songs are so related to each other. And, I love the way the songs on this album relate to each other musically - not just lyrically.

Love this song!

I totally agree, I love all of the allusions in this album.

And I just realized that the song goes

Little one, little one, the sky is falling

which links back to Before the Lobotomy

But when the sky is falling down

It burned your dreams into the ground

the 1st part of this song reminds me of my chemical romance's 'mama' but boss song :)

Definately a competitor for my favourite song on the album, along with EJN, RHS and Peacemaker.

I LOVE the second verse especially, with all those funny sounds (I'm not really sure how to describe them )

I find myself singing this song all the time.

The song kinda reminds me of Misery, and I absolutely adore this song, probably my all-time fav, but it's tied with the other Viva la Gloria... :D

i love this song. one of my favorites on the album too.

like ^ greendaygrl227 said ^ , it reminds me a bit of Misey too. especially the intro.

plus i loove the drums at "little girl you dirty liar..." (except that i realised it's the same thing with "the charlatans and saints of you abandon..." which kinda ruined it for me. i thought they did that just for that part of the song). anw it's still a great song. maybe one of their best.
