Penguin Puffball Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 Love it!!! It's one of my favorite songs. I like how they added the "heyheyheyheyhey"s in it. It makes the song fun.
burnout_13 Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Yeah the "hey hey" bits are awesome, this might be my favourite song just because of that.My mum reckons it sounds like Jewish wedding music haha
Brian Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I love the part at the very end where Billie takes that breathe and adds emphasis to the "-nede" part. I can't get enough of this song!
Banan Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 haha this song is amazing But i really don't want to see it live though, because i would probably jump on stage and attack Billie and hug him to death when he sing the "hey hey hey hey hey"- part
RebelofSuburbia Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 I remember when I first heard this song I was so confused already because the album had such a different impact on me as I expected. (this is an album that really needed to grow on me, it still needs to a little bit) So then Peacemaker starts and it has such a different vibe and feel as your 'standard' Green Day song.. I really didn't know whether to like it or not. But right now I love love love peacemaker! Definetly one of the albumfavorites for me. I have a tendency to weirdly dance to the 'heyheyheyheyhey' parts
punkrockerlori Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I love this song! It's one of my favourites on the Album. I was really dissappointed when they played Static Age and not that is song at the Vancouver Show
Moz Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 When I first heard the lyrics 'well death to the girl at the end of the serenade' i was like 'hey, that's me! I've just been cursed!!!' and got slightly freaked out cos it was night and I was alone in my house lol. It also made me laugh when Billie said 'orgasm', for some childish reason... But anyway, I looove this song - it's different, and kinda exciting.
-Billiejoezee- Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 It's My fave song. After I heared the demo of 21st century breakdown,i heared peacemaker live (on youtube) and i fell inlove with it. It's Just so catchy. It's my fave one. Misery is another one of my faves. I guess i like Peacemaker alot because it sounds Like Misery so much. I like the spanish rythm and the way he rolls his R at the end of the song:PERFECT.I also like the: Well now the caretakers, the undertaker, part.
CarmenPunkGirl Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 i've loved this song from the first time i've saw it. on a video on youtube. Billie's voice is sexy here Well, death to the ones at the end of the serenade
burnout_13 Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 I'd love to hear Peacemaker live, the whole crowd going "HEY HEY!" would just be epic
Kimpsu Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 I have heard Peacemaker more in radio than 21 Guns. This wouldn't be bad single.
RhayaOnTheHill Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 This is my favourite song off the album. It reminds me a little bit of Misery for some reason
Tubbie Head Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 I have heard Peacemaker more in radio than 21 Guns. This wouldn't be bad single. Now that I woul love to hear on the radio!!
lobob92345 Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 This is my favourite song off the album. It reminds me a little bit of Misery for some reasonMe too!My friend and I are both in love with this song, especially the very end where billie rolls his tongue then bursts into that really vengeful tone. + The bass line is groovy.
Tubbie Head Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 I'd love to hear Peacemaker live, the whole crowd going "HEY HEY!" would just be epic I agree.. :/ I'm a bit sad because they left this song and Little Girl..
jose armstrong Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 It sounds vry mexican to me. good song. I like the way it sounds so mexican.WTF?sounds gypsy or middle eastern to me..
ThePeacemaker Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 My current favourite song off 21st century breakdown! "Well now the caretaker's the undertaker" I love the way he sings this. Wouldn't sound out of place on Warning, which is my favourite album of all timeBig love from Down Under!
Mar Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 I was first attracted to the song because of the Detroit reference (I live around that area)Seconded! And of course, I assume "Murder City" is referring to my neighbors to the north! Oh I love Detroit (no, really, I do!)!
Drew Holiday Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 This is my favorite song off the album.I hope they play this in Orlando, but I won't keep my hopes up.This song reminds me of Misery, another of my favorite Green Day songs!
-Billiejoezee- Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 im praying they play this when they come to california. my fave song. when i saw a vid of them performing it live in oakland i fell inlove (before the album came out)
Ila Reto Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 this makes me want to own a gun. when im mad at someone or if i just feel like i wanna go out and right the wrongs, this song is perfect. "im gonna take it back to the place where it all began" "for what will divide us? the righeous and the meek" "this is the neo-St.Valentine's massacre" "this is a standoff, a Moltov cocktail on the house. you thought i was a write-off, you better think again"uhhmm, hah well what can i say? this is just an awesome song, and i figure it'd make a pretty good song to lapdance bellydance to
Eirik Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 sounds gypsy or middle eastern to me..This, it's clearly eastern-europe influenced.
jose armstrong Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 when I get together my band and get some gigs we are so covering this. I already planned to change the last lyrics to"well death to your god at the end of the serenade, well death to your god at the end of the serenade, well death to your god at the end of the serrrrr AH nade!!!"I want to be as fierce and expressive with what we will play, you know???and I want religious disaproval
