If the trend continues, the next Green Day album won't come out until 2015!

they said in many interviews from before the album came out that, admittedly they took a lot longer than they wanted to for this album, and they wanted to put albums out faster. i'm not gonna look for the interviews, but you can. look for ones from late 08 through may 09

they'll be eligible soon. 25 years after the first release. i'm not sure if it means release period, or first full length. if it's first release period, it'll be in two or three years, and if it's full length, it'll be five.

But remember in about 5 different interviews, the band said they would like to go back to their roots and record a classic Green Day album in China. They said they would like to do it soon. There's all those songs that didn't fit in with the album. Im sure it would be like a quick spontaneous thing late 2009 or early 2010.

I think I would cry if it took that long - 2015 - I'll be 25!! Holy crap!! Lol. But nah I don't think it will take them that long for the next album. By that time Billie will already be 43. Dang!!! Haha. Time goes by so fast...

I'm actually really surprised this thread exisits. Like many said. The first leg of the North American tour is only barely half-over. The album only came out about six weeks ago... They're touring for over a year on it. There's still the World tour and the second leg of the North American tour... It will probably be late 2010/early 2011 when they start going into the studio again.
