Sadly, the trend might continue. They are touring for a while so that slows down the process. Not to mention they are making another The Network album. Oh well, it will be worth the wait like 21CB.

I don't think it will take that long guys. First this needs to be the last concept album for a long long long time if they did it a 3rd time it runs a big risk of getting stale.

Now how do they follow up this album? They could do a big experimental album. Think Nimrod but to a bigger level and many many different genres no concepts or characters just music. Or they could go back to their roots. Or from what I've read in the Rolling Stone article Billie wants to get softer, so maybe a acoustic record?

But hey who knows right I mean it hasn't even been a month since 21st Century Breakdown came out enjoy the record let it sink into you.

imagine the guys sitting together in the studio, finishing the last bit of the album and discussing when to put it out.. and one of them goes 'no, we have to wait another year to release it or it'll mess up the schedual!' seriously I highly doubt they planned it that way.
