communitykid Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 I don't have a problem with it having a war theme as long as its sensitively done. The boy and girl thing could work OK as long as there's no talking involved (..shudders at the thought of the acting bit in WMUWSE..!) And at least its not Sam Bayer so its bound to be different. And I do like the white feathers idea to represent a laying down of arms and refusal to fight.I loved the acting in the WMUWSE video. I thought it was very well done. Definitely don't think they should try and strike with that again though..
Fulano Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 I'm sure that the music video will be so good!!!!I'll wanna watch it on TV soon. This will get the band on the high level.best band in the world ever!!!!
gdv Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Speaking of 21 Guns, a physical CD single is now out. At least a promo item for radio airplay. It's a 1 track CD-R from the UK with a shortened "Radio Edit" version of the song, length 4:37 versus 5:21 on the album. Thus, almost a full minute was removed to make it fit in a radio-friendly song. First time I see such a cut in a Green Day radio edit, and I don't like it. It's like killing or censoring the song! In detail, the intro with strings is removed (17 sec), starting straight with a clean acoustic guitar. One chorus in the end is cut, as well as the repeated intro after the bridge. What do you think about this radio edit? Better for radio airplay, or the original album version is better? Here are pictures of the CD (click to enlarge):
farley drexel hatcher Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 I saw Transformers today, the song plays more than Linkin Park's does and that's the actual theme .... (it plays in part about three times early on and then again over the credits.) As for there being anything related to it in the video, I doubt it. Although the film is full of explosions and stuff.
Jack96 Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 It's cool that he's in the video and he's an awesome 2nd guitarist, but he doesn't write any of Green Day's music or play on any of their albums. He's pretty far from being a member Thats weird because in Q magazine Jason is there playing guitar while the band srecording Yay viddeo tommorow!
Tubbie Head Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 ^^cool!!I think I'm going to watch the movie.. Did you like it?

farley drexel hatcher Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 There wouldn't be much point in watching Scuzz all day as they've got a countdown thing on that's on well into the night ... but maybe Kerrang or Q might show it? Scuzz does this a lot thoughWas it the whole video they played or just a preview?
Jack96 Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 No, they're rehearsing. AH Ok cool thanks for clearing that up
Jessayy Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 yeah...effort of actually sitting there to see it..... it will be all over every channel like even Box and 4music in a few days anyways..

Didn't the radio edit of JOS go for around 5 minutes? Guns N Roses' November Rain is 8 minutes!Having said that, I've only ever heard the full version on the radio here, I've never heard a radio edit of the song. So... guess it doesn't really matter. lol.
