theeulogy Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 They're very angry and it's hard to discern whom they hate more??????????????????????WTF actually????????????????
Heather! Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Hahaha, god, that's so dumb. Especially the bit about East Jesus Nowhere.
musse Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Umm.... I think somebody here already said it: WTF?!Topless Gloria? Green Day trapped in a perpetual adolescence? But yeah, that review made my evening. It was weird but h-i-l-a-r-i-o-u-s. Adam Holz should be a comedian. I like his style!
WrenchNinja Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Gotta love it. LOLBefore this article, I never even noticed that picture of Gloria.
Spark of Insanity Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Yeah, this is one of the most stupid articles I have ever read. They didn't even put any substance in it. It was just all saying "Here look at this fricken song lyric and see what is wrong with it, but we won't explain in much detail about it, because we cannot think of anything."And they say that they are angry and that the whole album is really bad and hate filled, they really need to get out more and listen to some other albums that are FAR worse than anything Green Day can conjur up.And yeah, that picture of Gloria isn't even that bad at all. What a great way to misconstrue something.
mary_x3 Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 that made me laugh...a lot! green day hasn't matured? everyone in the world, except the person who wrote this article, knows that green day has matured. look at what they used to sing about, and what they sing about now.
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Oh and where is this phantom topless Gloria, because I am not seeing it. The reviewer must have a copy that no one else in the world has if he is seeing a topless GloriaEDIT: I just saw the post above me about the topless Gloria being in the Best Buy Special edition, I was not aware of that. I knew I should have gotten that oneI have the Best Buy version, and I don't see Gloria topless anywhere
depardu42 Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Before this article, I never even noticed that picture of Gloria.I did, because I remember finding it extremely out of place amongst the graffiti-themed artwork.
Anko Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Christians like that never fail to make me laugh AND ON NOES BOOBS! WTF? Who cares? Boobs are seen all the fucking time on TV. Makes me still wonder why dicks are censored and boobs aren't.Where the hell you live? Boobs are censored on what I watch/I don't think pornographic pictures like that are allowed on here Really I am truly offended.
gdpunkdude Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 that's a load of bullshit. the worst part is that it sounds like something my mom would say.
RogueBreakdown Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 .....hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha bravo for stupidity
somedaygirl Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Seems like if your going to call yourself a music reviewer, the actual music might merit a mention in your reviews...
GDM Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Funny...Why did the person even listen to the album if they were gonna be offended by almost every sentence? They are "warning" Christian parents about the eeevveellls of Green Day. Don't let your children near them or they'll grow up to be Tré!!
NowhereBound Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 That article is sooooo ridiculous!!! I know they cuss, but they cuss for a reason..they don't just say any cuss word for fun. When they cuss It adds more emotion into it...(If that makes any sense)And I'm a Christian and i don't even think the album is bad!! That writer is definitely biased.
thenextsexpistol_mak Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 THAT.IS.AWESOME.i can imagine the band laughing theyre asses off..... oh and im catholic , but that article... the quotes form the lyrics arent even right!
Wolfdemon Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Where the hell you live? Boobs are censored on what I watch/Connecticut, I dunno maybe I just watch too much adult stuff and see boobs being uncensored all the time. And I still find that review simply hilarious..
14razorbacks Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I know they're trying to repel people, but they make the album sound fucking amazing, haha."The song sarcastically suggests that such people shouldn't even be allowed to have children." <---- Made me burst out laughing. Never did take the song like that...
musse Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Don't let your children near them or they'll grow up to be Tré!!I wanna grow up to be Tré! Luckily my parents aren't that much into any religion. (But I could imagine my mom writing that review anyway...)
GreenDayGummyBear Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 sounds like one of my 'friends'. i showed her the lyrics to Jesus of Suberbia, and immediatly she was like "OMG! get it away!" i was like 'wtf? whats wrong?' then she pointed to the lines 'no one ever died for my sins in hell/as far as i can tell/atleast the ones i got away with'.
!taste4suicidal! Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 what the fuck? "the band's scathing vitriol often gets delivered with a hail of f-words."lmao ahhahahahhahahahhahah rofland gloriA Topless, where the hell did they get that from?that was just a horrible preview, haha.
