AtTheLibrary19 Posted June 4, 2009 Share Posted June 4, 2009 I sort of understood where the reviewer was going with EJN about Christians not being able to have kids, I think he got it off of "I want to know who's allowed to breed," and then Billie refers to the "dogs" again. I disagree with what the reviewer was saying, but I think that's what he was referring to. The problem is, I think that's what the majority of conservative Catholics and Christians are thinking when they see this new album. I found it funny that the reviewer misinterpreted pretty much every lyric, including the religious ones. He even didn't understand or realize the positive spin of the end of the album, in his mind it just ended with American Eulogy somehow. The song is about HYPOCRITES of religions not entirely every religious person!Another thing, Green Day is showing the realities of the world through this rock opera and they've obtained this through experience and maturity.....something this reviewer failed to recognize. I mean, if you write f--- everybody is gonna read it as fuck because it's just natural to read words in stead of letters and f--- really isn't a hard puzzle to solve. So why bother censoring at all? What's the big deal of actually seeing the word spelled out?
