Green Day's UK support?

why are they mailing them? All the IC presales here were brought to the venue by the band and distributed via will call. If they are trying to eliminate scalpers I don't see why they would change that policy.

I hope people do realise that joining the idiot club doesnt guarantee sound check passes! we got enough abuse off people complaining about tickets to shows! and the rest they expected to get!

what was it? something like 50 people per venue got into sound checks for the US leg of the tour? and no doubt there will be the bands/record companies guest list of people wanting to get into these..... so how many tickets are they going to give away realistically? not a whole lot. join becuase you want to... and not just for this please!

its one thing reading abusive comments about the idiot club and how its works/doesnt work.... being stuck in a queue with people complaining about it and well........

Picture087-1.gif = me being polite. lol

Hahaha - Netty, I wouldn't blame if you hurt someone!

the UK venues have different policies to the US. they mail ours out all the time. seems to be only those outside the country have to do the will call thing. probably because they think foreign postal services are even more untrust worthy than the royal mail. its not down to the Idiot Club how tickets are given to the people who buy them. if we bought them from the idiot club, rather than through the link on the site to another companies site... they would have control over it.

does that actually make sense? lol

Just to save me scrawling through pages and pages of stuff I can't be Harris'd to read... could someone tell me: Are Kaiser Chiefs supporting at the UK gigs?

no, it's prima donna (the band kevin preston (second guitar player of the foxies) plays in).

I don't think so, dude. Only Prima Donnas are confirmed so far.

Ah, well. Fingers crossed, I'd love to see the Chiefs.

Arctic Monkeys are touring in November if that makes up for it ?

I've never heard Prima Donna's music, so I'm going in with an open mind :sherlock:

I wonder how many people who are on the IC are from the UK? It'll increase ten fold after things have been released.

Like I said earlier there are thousands of paid up members that don't use the message board, its only us obsessive freaks that do that

WASH YOUR MOUTH OUT ! (mind you, their last album's a bit ropey)

Is there anywhere I can listen to Prima Donna songs that doesn't involve Myspace/Facebook ? i.e Spotify ?

There's only a few of us use the IC forum but there are thousands of paid up members that don't, once the email gets sent out with official word it will be a free for all, I guess they will have to do it as a lottery you either get picked or you don't.

Nothing is guaranteed unfortunately :/

I meant the Irish dates specifically :D

There's only a handful of Irish members on the IC :)

I recently found out that it wasn't actually a lamppost, it was a traffic light pole :P

Well I really hope there's a soundcheck available for us, especially since only a select few know about it :shifty:

Yeah, I like our chances if that happens!

yeah it makes sense.

except that over here they always mail them or print them out electronically. Will call has to be requested which no one ever does.

In the US purchasing thru Ticketmaster and LiveNation, ALL FLOOR tickets were will call only (this was done to prevent ticket scalping from what I was told). Didnt matter if it was thru presales or regular sales. (although very few somehow did get mailed out, none of mine or anyone I went with's ever did)

We bought our tickets thru the presale link provided by the IC and our tickets were held at the venue's will call the day of the show. A few of the venues (when we asked them the minute they opened) said they didn't actually have the tickets purchased via the fan club presale in the venue until the band showed up and gave them to them.

This is why the venues most likely won't be very helpful b/c they wont know what is happening until the band management gets there and tells them what to do.

The pick up times, on the list the IC provided about when will call opened, was basically a guideline that thankfully was not followed. Will call tickets were made available as soon as the box office opened in most cases you did not have to wait until the designated time on that list. There were more people worried about it than there were issues with it as far as I could tell.

ya know what, this will call stuff is a bit ridiculous :/ i know its done to prevent scalpers but really theres a LOT more trouble because people are all gonna be freaking out.

I know for a fact when i go to the o2 in london ill have a nervous breakdown because my sister has to collect the ticket (apparently at 7pm) and she WONT queue up with me all day.

I mean, am i supposed to just queue up all day without a ticket, then get her to go to the box office (amidst tons of people i bet) and get the ticket and drop it off to me? I'll feel a bit insecure without my ticket in my hand though.

Does anybody know what time the doors open at and where the box office is for tickets to be collected at the O2 in london?
