emmaILGD! Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Not knowing is probably as bad as having a terrible support act.Maybe it's Miley Cyrus .
Kryssi. Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Why would they tell people that they don't have a support act? Surely it is better to actually keep their mouth shut on the subject and have a little anonymity about it. I know if I was them and their label hadn't found a support act for the European Tour, I wouldn't put it out.
davidharris Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Maybe it's Miley Cyrus .I'd rather have that than My Chemical Romance or something of the likes
Anja Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Fans should get up on stage and sing songs instead of a support act imo.I totally support this idea That would be fun to do!
emmaILGD! Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 I'd rather have that than My Chemical Romance or something of the likes Well, she's in the UK round about October time, you never know...what with Billie going to a Hannah Montana concert and everything.

Besides, the gigs are coming round so fast now, it's what, just a month till rocktober so it really isn't that long to wait.
IscoredWaddlesgoals Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Why would they tell people that they don't have a support act? I know if I was them and their label hadn't found a support act for the European Tour, I wouldn't put it out.The thing is though, the longer they leave it the more obvious it gets. It doesn't really reflect very well that a 'big' band can't find someone (or at least appears to be finding it difficult) to support them.
Kryssi. Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Thanks, Lozza. We've been patient so far, I'm not actually bothered about the support bill, I'm more interested in the 'main act' I mean, we still have yet to ponder if it's either of their side bands
iLozza! Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Thanks, Lozza. We've been patient so far, I'm not actually bothered about the support bill, I'm more interested in the 'main act' I mean, we still have yet to ponder if it's either of their side bands :wink:Yes, we're here to see Green Day. I mean, after the support act's done we're not all gonna jump up and go "Right, that show was good, i think it's time to retire to bed now, ey chums?". We're there for the real deal. The big boys. Well, the midgets I probably won't be able to see from the top xDIt better be the Network if it is a side band.
Kryssi. Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 We're there for the real deal. The big boys. That made me snort
netty Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Why would they tell people that they don't have a support act? Surely it is better to actually keep their mouth shut on the subject and have a little anonymity about it. I know if I was them and their label hadn't found a support act for the European Tour, I wouldn't put it out.I asked the question and got an answer because Bill always does try to answer me when he can. I dont think its that much of a problem him telling me they hadnt sorted one out at that point or that it wont be announced until just before they start that part of the tour. its not like he was giving me information that they didnt want released yet. it was more a kind of non-answer that helps to stop the bullshit rumours that people always start about this band. I dont know if the choice of support is left totally to the record company either. the band must have some kind of input into the decision as they will be on the road with whoever it ends up to be for a good few weeks. oh and I`m not people. I`m an idiot!
Kryssi. Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Thanks, Netty I don't know why I said it was down mainly to their label to sort out the suport act, whoever that may be. I know that it is also up to the band themselves to put down possible bands they would like to support. Why are you an idiot?
Stantheman-GreendayFan Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Why have i heard something about the Gaslight anthem and the Bravery being the UK support acts? Idk clearly they haven't been announced, yet i think i heard that somewhere
Palmer89 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Everyone says it's Gaslight but they're in the US during the UK tour.
greendaygal89 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 i cant believe its like 2 months away and we still dont no who is surpporting them grrrr
82 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Especially me, you and Lara I agree with you though, we should all do a bit of karaoke to pass the time.HELL YES.
Lauren Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 It's gonna be the Foxboro Hot Tubs! Well... it says "special" guess and they are pretty special.
Anja Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 It's gonna be the Foxboro Hot Tubs! Well... it says "special" guess and they are pretty special. It says that on every ticket for every show Oh, how I wish though...
Minority_GD Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 It's only 34 days till the concert in cologne.I wanna know the support band! It's frustrating -.-
Anja Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 It's only 34 days till the concert in cologne.I wanna know the support band! It's frustrating -.-Holy Shit! I don´t even have my ticket for the Berlin show (bought it from a friend), neither do I have money AND time for the train and to go there. [/offtopic]But I´m looking forward to find out who the support act is
madswester Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 maybe there isn't a support band there is... on the ticket there stand: green day plus support
04rebhop Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I had hoped that it was going to be the band Muse. That would be the best show ever, but that isn't going to happen. I don't mind since i'll see them a few weeks after. I think it will be a side project, or no support band at all and more Green Day, which suits me just fine.
