Foxboron Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Its a Les Paul trick, turn the volume down on the rhythm pickup, and flick between treble and rhythm, it cuts in and out..Kill switch effect!wrong, if you got a pick up switch with 2 volum knobs, you can do it!OR, drill a whole, make a button that cuts the power to one of the pickups...
day1_9 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 i never noticed it....now i must listen to the song closely to see what ur talking aboutIt's definitely just an effect.your ava is sex
Greenday_Aussie Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 wrong, if you got a pick up switch with 2 volum knobs, you can do it!OR, drill a whole, make a button that cuts the power to one of the pickups...Um, no, not wrong, thats what I said, I just put Les Paul infront because thats what Billie uses....
baboonbottom Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 i started a thread about this, and i hate the sound of it sounds like the cd is skipping its horrible! but i was told it was ment to be thr, will never like that bit
Jack96 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 When i first heard this i was like WTF but i like it it suits the song!
Agija Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Never noticed it. I'll try to listen to the song carefully next time.
Brian Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I like that effect! but when i first heard it, it kinda scared the crap outta me cause i thought i got a defective CD. but i then realized that it was meant to be there. It also follows the theme with "The Static Age" i think. but you would never know until you heard the album for about...20 times in a row. but yeah i like how they composed it.
Anja Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 When I first heard this song on an online radio, I thought something was wrong with my computer/or with their radio station program. It was kinda weird. But now we know that it definitely belongs there and I actually like it
Nova-Caine Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I actually love all these little parts of the album
Farah Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 yeah i noticed that the first time i listened to it, and at first i just thought it was my comp being slow, but then it was like that in my ipod aswell :/i find it quite anoying..
Foxboron Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Um, no, not wrong, thats what I said, I just put Les Paul infront because thats what Billie uses....note he uses juniors with 0 pickup switches mostly.so whos right ^^?they could have done it at mixing after wards
badwolf Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I thought my CD was fucked up (like a lot of people already said), but it those suit it well regardless. I like it.
Greenday_Aussie Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 note he uses juniors with 0 pickup switches mostly.so whos right ^^?they could have done it at mixing after wards Um, for AI and Breakdown, alot of Standards ect (with more then one pickups) were used.
Eirik Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Nothing messed up about THIS song Which songs are messed up, then? Um, for AI and Breakdown, alot of Standards ect (with more then one pickups) were used.Yeah... He's said it, aaaaaand we've even seen him use it.
RogueBreakdown Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 when I first heard it I brushed it off thinking I heard things.... Then when I got the CD I heard it again and then I realized it sounds pretty cool and that it was intended to sound like that which made it even more awesome
thisisAB Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I knew it was the killswitch right away and thought it was awesome! I can't believe people thought it was a mistake LOL.
