†he sain† Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I don't think Eminem should worry us now. Sure that asshole's won many awards, but when you take a look at Green Day's resumé, it's a whole lot better. Dookie's got a diamond certification in the US. What's Eminem's biggest US sales? 9x PlatinumSomething tells me Eminem just came back for the money, same with Blink 182, maybe the recession affected em?idk...soon Elvis will resurrect and be "I iz back" :down:That's one hell of conspiracy theory, dude... lol
RogueBreakdown Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Of course Em's number one...The only kind of music that dominates the chart is rap music *growls*I'm all for liking all kinds of music but sometimes I just can't stand it ya know? Everything sounds the same, the beats, the lyrics....
mufc4 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Guys as I said before wait till the singles are released, especially 21 gunsLook how many singles eminem has released. They do make a lot of difference
Banan Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 damn this eminem-guy >.< Now I hate him even more than my math teacher!
Snorri Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Then I think Bruno is a Green Day fan and only dived into Eminem's head because he's mad at him for stealing the number one spot for Green Day
Aramos Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Face it, Eminem can come up with 10x better lyrics than Billie ever can.I mean, listen to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGjSWlG3VvQ
.Holly Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 But music isn't about beating anyone to the top spot. It's about making music you love about issues you feel are important and having a fucking great time whilst doing it. Some of the stuff out there in the charts IS out there to sell itself and make money, but Green Day are not one of those artists, so it shouldn't matter. As long as they believe in what they're doing, love what they're doing and still enjoy playing their kick ass live shows, beating eminem isn't important.
Isabel Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Yeah, the new Eminem album was 1 in my local music shop and Green Day was 2
frankiessister Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Face it, Eminem can come up with 10x better lyrics than Billie ever can.I mean, listen to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGjSWlG3VvQYou're right, Billie can't come up with this kind of lyrics. Eminem is a deeply disturbed guy who's never been able to digest all the shit that happened to him as a kid and therefore has never matured. Billie is a grown man who's comfortable with his own person and those around him. Why in heaven's name would he want to write lyrics like Eminem???
Starbug Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 That is sooo Coca Cola execution. That's the second or third thread I've seen you post this in You're right, Billie can't come up with this kind of lyrics. Eminem is a deeply disturbed guy who's never been able to digest all the shit that happened to him as a kid and therefore has never matured. Billie is a grown man who's comfortable with his own person and those around him. Why in heaven's name would he want to write lyrics like Eminem???I agree, sorta... I mean, I think Billie's lyrics are brilliant and I relate to them far more than Eminem. But I"m sick to death of hearing about Em's drug use, his mom, his ex?wife and daughter. It's old. But apparently, there are a shit ton of people who don't agree with me lol I think with GD's next single, they'll surge back to the top. It's too good of a song to be ignored.

Tiffx Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 It's too good of a song to be ignored.Well I hope it's not ignored!
brooksy Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I think Green Day will out sell Eminem my 13 son even said his latest song sux.
Guest jude88 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Wow I'm gonna download his album to see what's the big deal .
DragonsWarth27 Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I bought both CDs and they were good, but they were not fabolus by any means.
HoneyDo666 Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 It's okay Green Day still have the number 2 album. Once 21 Guns hits, I think they'll be back at number 1!Also, Billie writes unbelievably good dark lyrics for some one who seems so happy! And I hate Eminem! He writes about killing his own grandmother among other women...violence against women is not cool! Eminem is just creepy, Billie is poetic and personal. Billie wins in my opinion.
mufc4 Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 At least KYE(by far the worst song on the album) is doing better then New Divide
Blu Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 At least KYE(by far the worst song on the album) is doing better then New Divide It's not the worst song. It's a really good song. I like it. It's just that they could have chosen something stronger to start with. Though not a the strongest song on the album, it still made an explosive first single for the album and has done well in the charts. No matter what numbers say, Green Day is still doing better than Eminem.

SOMERTEN Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Eminem is a one trick pony. He has been releasing the same mince for years, his words all have the exact same rhythm (dat-de-da-da-dee-dat-deet-da). I wouldn't know about the lyrics as it is difficult to make them out and the songs are too unbearable to listen to all the way through. The background music is always stolen from other people and rubbish to boot. I was listening to Zane Lowe the night Green Day were on and Beautiful came on after it. My sister and I both looked at each other and went 'Oh my god that's pathetic, what is it?' (not knowing it was Eminem at the time). Zane Lowe kept talking about what a prat he was (in so many words) and saying how great it was to interview Green Day after the miserable night he had with Eminem.Billies Lyrics are really beautiful without being pretentious. The boy's a poet.
