GreenDayaremyGods Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Wow there are so many. Just the over all excitment that my pride and joys made a new album can make a peron cry but Last night on earth I like a lot, Little Girl hits home same with Viva la gloria....hmm uhh East Jesus nowwhere I can relate to a lot too. There just a lot and my mind is pretty much shut down for tonight so I will think about it more in depth tomarrow.
fatherotti Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Now that... Is one hell of an interpretation. I'm gonna use that. Full credit to you, of course.why thank you very much i dont know in my mind that's just sorta how it went together
forget_me_nots Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Win for violin players. We own your soul.I admit it. You do. And pianists. World's most depressingly beautifully sorrowful instruments.
Ingrid Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Ah, who am I kidding - the whole album makes me emotional! With the exceptions of Static Age and See the Light, I just don't like those songs (yet). The rest of the album is love.
novacaine_kid Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 The lyrics to 21 Guns explain just about everything there is to my life at the moment. I'm addicted to it, I don't think a song has really gotten to me this much
tapdancingowl Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I admit it. You do. And pianists. World's most depressingly beautifully sorrowful instruments. Then I doubly own your soul.
forget_me_nots Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Then I doubly own your soul.O_O I guess you do. Haha. Here's the deed to my soul. xD
forget_me_nots Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I'd say you're welcome, but seeing as I have no soul now, I have no feelings left to feel gratitude. I'd put a funny laughing emoticon here, too, but I can't remember how that feels.
Ally Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 The lyrics to 21 Guns explain just about everything there is to my life at the moment. I'm addicted to it, I don't think a song has really gotten to me this muchone of my mates the same...it reminds her of her ex, she cries every time she hears it but she still loves it. for some reason RHS made me emotional today...never done that before!
Samantha Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Mehh that bloody song is starting to grow on me21 Guns definitely is the most emotional song on the album, thats for sure
Bob4775 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 last night on earth hits me in a really special way. probably the most emotional on the album for me.& that line in static age "whats the latest way that a man can die screaming hallelujah" really gets me for some reason
deadair Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Off 21st Century Breakdown? I'd say "Last Night On Earth" and "21 Guns"Kind of unrelated, but whenever I am done listening to Macy's Day Parade from Warning I feel kinda emotional, more than the two songs I mentioned of off 21cbEDIT: When he sings the line "too pathetic" by himself in Murder City it makes me emotional. By the way, I heard at the soundcheck for GMA he sang the whole song by himself. Anybody know how it sounded and if it was good or better than full band?
forget_me_nots Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Kind of unrelated, but whenever I am done listening to Macy's Day Parade from Warning I feel kinda emotional, more than the two songs I mentioned of off 21cbAh, me, too. That song is beautiful.
jacknovella Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Well, when I first heard about the new album, I googled it. I then listened to the demo version of 21CB, and I didnt cry....but I certainly was emotional. To hear this amazing band after so long could still make such good music was brilliant.
wwnflat_punk Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 After listening to the album I can tell that Green Day put a lot of hardwork and emotion in all the songs. Some songs that stand out emotionally for me are "See the Light" and "Restless Heart Syndrome".
Milo Goes To Pasalacqua Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 The violins in Good Riddance is what gets me crying. At least...I think its violins? Anyway, its a sad sounding instrument in itself, and it gets me every time with or without words.I always said that it was the voilins in Good Riddance that made it. The voilins made that great song into something epic and timeless.
Brian Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I got shivers when the piano at the beginning of 21st Century Breakdown started. But as for getting choked up, i would have to say Last Night on Earth because it reminded me of this girl that i REALLY liked in high school and i never got the chance to ask her out and it kinda brought back those memories of her...
forget_me_nots Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I always said that it was the voilins in Good Riddance that made it. The voilins made that great song into something epic and timeless.Yeah, exactly. I don't know why, but it just *makes* the song. I listened to the string quartet version of WMUWSE and I was almost in tears---it was violins. Oh dear. Violins depress me with their beautifulness.
jose armstrong Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 lol, not reallyI do relate to 21 guns and restless heart syndrome, specially RHS.emotional enugh for ya?
mechanicalman Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I cried in Know Your Enemy. I don't think my ears will ever recover.
OliDayyy Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I don't know why, but the 1st night I listened to the new album with my Ipod, tears came during Peacemaker. That's not really a sad song, bu the melody made me cry a lot so then I kept listening to the record, and Little Girl and Restless Heart Syndrome made me cry so much, I couldn't stop ahah but it felt so good. Now I manage not to cry during Restless Heart Syndrome, but this reaction will come back I'm sure.Oh, and I was about to cry when I saw them for the 1st time when they arrived for the intro of "21st cb"; it was a concert for TV, so I had a big camera in my face and it stopped me quickly. But wow, it gave me chills.
beth hardy Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 last night on earth is amazing. I listened to it 10 times on that friday. I didn't cry or anything, its just a shock that they have a love song out after 12 years, it was well written, and the music is great.
