last night on earth and restless heart syndrome make me emotional

In iViva La Gloria!, the line "Say your prayers and light a fire, we're gonna start a war" sends shivers down my spine.

Oh god yes

That song, and 21 Guns are the songs that have brought tears to my eyes so far. And I love them both <3

Pretty much the whole album made me feel pretty choked up. 21 Guns give me a lump in my thoat. And Before the Lobotomy really got me, it made me feel angry, cathartic, depressed, sorrowful but somewhat happy at the same time.

the part in static age where he goes

"all i want to do is i want to breathe

batteries not included"

i dunno, i just really like it

Snappage.

No green day song has really gotten me emotional or sad or so, but I can say that when I listen to the guitar intro to Welcome to paradise I just want to run! It's odd but I want to do it.

After I heard 21 Guns I got goosebumbs and I was speechless. The song is so epic, i just thought "Holy shit, that was amazing."

Last Night on Earth made me cry....

I think I'm with the general consensus when I say that I teared up a bit because I was waiting so long for this new album and I was finally listening to it.

Other than that, I tear up when I hear Last Night on Earth...Its so beautiful! lol

I have to say none of the songs made me emotional.

Yeah, that'd be me, too. As soon as I stuck it in my CD player and heard the first word, I was like..."Wow, this is IT, here it is...." It was overwhelming the first time I heard it.

Static Age hits me somehow, so does anytime on the album where "Class of 13" comes up, because I will be in the class of 12 and just as screwed

Class of 12 god I feel the same way. I cried in 21 guns because I was thinking about all the troops in Iqac and them all dying. It made me very sad. It also reminded me of a very close friend that died in a car crash.

I have to add Song of The Century to my list, even though it's short.

"Tell us a story that's by candlelight / waging the war and loosing the fight"

And H&H helped me get over my crappy ex best friend.

"Well, everything that you employ

Was meant for me to destroy

To the ground now

So don't you fuck me around

Because I'll shoot you down."

^^ No offense, but you guys have GOT to get over that. No one is gonna force you to listen to the song on the radio 24/7, okay? Trust me.

I know, seriously. I hate when people bitch about singles.

No.

I love Jay's posts.

The violins in Good Riddance is what gets me crying. At least...I think its violins? Anyway, its a sad sounding instrument in itself, and it gets me every time with or without words.

Quick question, what does the whole 'Class of 13' thing mean?

Posted

Class of 13 - when Billie's son graduates (2013)

Win for violin players. We own your soul.

Posted

Oh... I'm the class of 12, as well.

when i heard last night on earth live it made me a little emotional

but the studio version doesn't do anything for me.

For all the people who get emotionally hit during the violin parts I always get depressed when i hear those parts in the moring or late at night, i have no idea why

Posted

Last Night On Earth for obvious reasons, and 21st Century Breakdown because I feel like I can relate to some of the lyrics in a way.

In iViva La Gloria!, the line "Say your prayers and light a fire, we're gonna start a war" sends shivers down my spine.

Also, the line "I'm not in love 'cause I'm a mess" in Before The Lobotomy kinda hit a personal note with me

i totally agree with the iViva La Gloria! thing, especially that line that u mentioned....it stand for whats happening to the world right now and thats War....

Before the Lobotomy as well just from the first lines

Dreaming

I am only dreaming

Of another place and time

Where my family's from

Singing

I can hear them singing

When the rain it washed away

All the scattered dreams

Dying

Everyone's reminded

Hearts are washed in misery

Drenched in gasoline

Laughter

There is no more laughter

Songs of yesterday

Now live in the underground

to me those lyrics mean "we remember the past...the happiness we knew as kids is gone...we cant dream anymore...there is death everywhere...we must face a new world with no laughter"

the lyrics literally scared the hell out of me and made me cry :cry:

^ I just love it when a dude gets emotional about something, and is not ashamed of sharing it with a bunch of others, srsly.

Now that... Is one hell of an interpretation. I'm gonna use that. Full credit to you, of course.

I don't get emotional really, but there is a really nice emotional vibe with see the light.
