Katarina. Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Before The Lobotomy, ?Viva La Gloria? and Restless Heart Syndrome.Especially BTL.. it gets me every time.. No idea why, lol
Mato Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Before The Lobotomy and Last Night On Earth can make me cry..
Mrs. Nobody Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 probably only 21 guns. i have much less emotional attachement to this album then to AI
giant_teabag Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I cried to 21 Guns the very first time I ever heard it, but that was mostly because I was really fucked up and emotional at the moment, could've cried to any song I guess. Since that one little time, I haven't cried to any of the songs but some of them do make me emotional. And all of them are great
Swedish_Idiot Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I cried to 21 Guns the very first time I ever heard it, but that was mostly because I was really fucked up and emotional at the moment, could've cried to any song I guess. Since that one little time, I haven't cried to any of the songs but some of them do make me emotional. And all of them are great Wuss For some reason, See The Light always makes me feel emotional.
Deniz. Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Yeah, the first listen was at the secret show in Cologne!..I had a great feeling..it was so wunderful. the next day I didn't remeber the new songs. The first listen to the Studio-Album was..Idk, I cried and it remebered me of the best show in my life <3.I cannot say which song is the best or the worst..I love them all.sorry for my bad english.
Juliette Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 21 Guns made me cry the first few times I listened to it, apart from that I only get emotional in the sense that my emotions change when listening to a lot of the songs but not that I become sad - if that makes sense :/
Tiffx Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I didn't get emotional much, probably means I'm not connecting with the music . Anyway, I think I'll start crying when I see them live.
Minority_GD Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I've heard 21 guns three times(one time live!) before the album was actually realeased and I really liked it but it didn't make me sad or something like that. But then I got the album and was shaking the whole time. The static age ended and then I heard this sentence: " do you know what's worth fighting for when it's not worth dying for?"I relly started to cry.Not only a few teardrops I totally cried my eyes out. That was creepy o.o
Lena. Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I got very emotional while listening to Little Girl because the player was set on shuffle and it's the first song I have heard of the new album, I automatically thought "wow, it's still them" and I was so happy about it. I think 21 guns is the song with the most "emotional" potential, and it works for me. I also get shivers when during restless heart syndrome Billie sings "know your enemy" and then the music gets harder.
Ila Reto Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 i mean, yea to me every song brings out an emotion of some sort be it saddness, rage, hopelessness, guilt, bravery etc.
bjrules Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 21 Guns made me cry a little the first time i heard it
forget_me_nots Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I also get shivers when during restless heart syndrome Billie sings "know your enemy" and then the music gets harder.Ah, yeah......me, too.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Well, I got really mad when my CD player fucked up in the middle of every song, during the whole first act But for the rest...21 Guns really blew me away when I first heard it, but I didn't feel like I needed to cry or something during any song....but well, it only happened once that I cried hearing a song for the first time, so I didn't expect it to happen or something edit: Oh, I just remembered. When I listened the album, it felt a bit like you go into a room/house/something. Song of the Century was the door, 21CB (and KYE? Can't remember) was someone/a couple of persons who welcomed you in the house/room/something, and with every song you get a little 'deeper' into that house/room/something. Was funny :]
Nele Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I had that super happy and weird feeling in my stomach as I listened to Christians Inferno, East Jesus Nowhere and Horeshoes and Handgrenades. I nearly jumped around in my room. And I always shiver when I listen to Last Night On Earth. It's such an affecting song. But I never actually cried. We'll see what will happen during the concert.
Mato Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I also get shivers when during restless heart syndrome Billie sings "know your enemy" and then the music gets harder.YES I love that part
Agija Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Last Night On Earth reminds of some sad things, so it kinda makes me cry.
tuwlol Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 The first time I heard 21 Guns my heart just like swelled (maybe I should see a doctor? )..it was so beautiful. But every time I hear the end of 21st Century Breakdown, like the part right before "Oh dream, America dream" to the end.. it just makes me all aeyhahyjeajy
Juan Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 When I confirmed (although there was no doubt in mind) that Green Day is still my favorite band was the first time I listened to the song 21st Century Breakdown on headphones.
Ila Reto Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 building onto what i said before, i remember the first times i heard Last Night on Earth. it was a live video (from Fox theatere?) on youtube, and i wanted to cry i cuz i missed my boyfriend and we were going through a little rough patch. Murder City is like 21stCB's Are We the Waiting- which is my favortie song from the album. So murder city kind of hits me with that "hopelessly-hopeful" emotion (if that makes any sense). Before the Lobotomy was my favortie since i heard it on youtube live, its not anymore, but i still love it to pieces. i get all choked up when they go "the brutality of reality is the freedom that keeps me from..." Viva la Gloria (little girl) makes me feel really guilty, turns out, im starting to be more like Gloria than i should be. When they say "know your enemy" in Restless Heart Syndrome, my heart ends up skipping a beat lol. Horseshoes and Handgrenades brings out that destructive, reckless side that i have. i never act upon it, im a really quiet girl, but i know i have that demon hanging around inside me (doesn't everybody?). See the Light can be a tear jerker sometimes, as would all the songs be if i was in that type of mood (which im in quite often apparently).
depardu42 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I was pretty sad early this morning, so I put the new album on hoping it would cheer me up, and it did....after I cried. Then I danced on my bed.
Fulano Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 On my fucking bad comedown of cocaine here in home, i cried listening to LAST NIGHT ON EARTH [i was so bad that i thought that i would die, and i wanted to call to the girl that i love to say "i love you"], and i cried too listening to RESTLESS HEART SYNDROME on the same day [it reflected my comedown]...I was so weak emotionally...EDIT¹: oh i remember that i cried listening to 21 guns someday i was so bored and sad....EDIT²: See The Light is a song that every time that i heart it, i feel it inside of my mind and heart....I don't like it so much, but it touch me, it touch my soul...
Juju Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I cried a little bit when I first heard iViva la Gloria!, 21 Guns and Last Night on Earth.after I heard the whole album through the first time, I felt very emotional.I can't really describe it, though... it was strange.I don't remember ever feeling like that before.
emmaILGD! Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I cried the first time I heard 21 Guns, and if I'm singing along like in the back of the car or something, when See The Light comes on, I just shut up, and think, and then feel like crying...but it's a good kind of crying. Like, when you realise that actually, even though a lot of shit happens in life, it usually turns out for the best in the end.
