Whatsername is great for the first 30 seconds or so then its just boring, Gloria is amazing all the way, both of them. I do miss Jesus of Suburbia though

For some reason I can't really stand Gloria half the time. I'm not sure it's because I haven't gotten used to her yet, or what ... But ATM, she's pissing me off.

To decide, let's compare who's sexier, because if we've learned anything in this society it's that sex appeal is everything and it narrows down what's really important in the qualities of an individual. Our choices: A) I girl who's traveling around snorting pixie stick dust or what ever she can get her hands on or B) one who rides a bike. In this situation, the answer is B- least probable lady with an STD or some sort of blood borne pathogen that creates sores or parasites. Snorting things, as Whatsername does, shows desperation to get out of reality, self-destruction and an unbalanced sense of emotional security. Riding a bike shows Gloria wants to get a little exercise- she cares about her body as well as the environment. It's also humble and resourceful.

The winner is Gloria. I would do Gloria. I would do her. I would do her on her bike, wearing an overcoat and holding a little book of conspiracies while she does my makeup. Congrads, Gloria. Congrads, to me.

I really don't favor one over the other. They're both two distinct, separate characters and I love how both are colorful and all. I do think Gloria is more relatable (to me, anyway), but I've always thought of Whatsername as this feminist, punk-rock, tough girl, so I give her kudos for being a stronger female character.

Actually, a lot of the depiction of Gloria reminded me of Maria, at least in Last of The American Girls.

Same here! I've got to sit down with the lyrics and try to read them as a story, because right now I'm fuckin' confused ... And I'm guessin' Christian and Gloria are confused, too, because their personalities change numerous times throughout the album ... Heck, sometimes they change in the middle of a single song. @_@
