I know! I could tell from the first time I heard that song that it was Mike singing, I didn't have to check and make sure or anything...It's just too different from Billie's voice, I noticed straight away.

first it seemed awkward. I knew it wasnt billy singing. Then afterweards that i discovered it was mike. I think it adds to the aggression and variety. He should chip in often like these.

Mike sounds so bad ass in AE. I can't wait to see him sing it live. So far there's only a few amatuer videos of it.

American Eulogy live is AMAAAAZING! Definitely one of the highlights is seeing Mike take the lead vocal for a short time during Modern Age. He doesn't have a fantastic voice with tons of range, but he has EXACTLY the right voice for this angry sort of vocal. More punk, as someone said earlier. It's just great that everyone's attention turns to him for those few minutes, and you can bet the whole place is singing right along with him "Cause I don't give a shit about the modern age!"

I agree that Mike sounded an awful lot like BJ in Homecoming. I think he has come along a little bit since then and found his own voice. I hope we get to hear more of it.

I actually think Mike has a good voice, people talk about the pitch perfect harmonies between him and Billie. I just think he wanted to sing this with attitude and yes, I fought the Law would be brilliant by Mike, One of my favourtie songs and his voice is perfect for it.
