**nobodylikesyou** Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I dont think they are gonna play four hours. I think Billie was just talking.
MusicalDeviant Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Just read this on NME http://www.nme.com/news/green-day/44732sorry if it s posted already"Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong has suggested that his band's forthcoming UK arena tour, set to kick off in October, could last up to four hours long. The frontman told Rolling Stone that the band were inspired to match lengthy gigger Bruce Springsteen for their forthcoming shows. He also admitted to suffering from nerves when he played material from the band's new album, '21st Century Breakdown', for the first timeHe said the shows could last "anywhere from two to four hours long. We want to give Springsteen a run for his money. I think his longest show is maybe five hours, I think Green Day's got six!"Speaking about Green Day's recent series of gigs in their native Bay Area by San Francisco, Armstrong admitted to being "terrified" of playing the new songs."It was terrifying, especially when you're playing all brand new songs from start to finish," he said. "It's kind of like playing your first gig all over again. It's about making your own memories before someone makes them for you."I'm sorry, but what's the problem here? Are you saying a four hour show would somehow be a bad thing?
Psycho Britney Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I reckon Billie was probably joking, but that would be value for money! I mean I wouldn't want GD to burn out, and I'd be fine standing like that for a GD show but not sure about who I'm going with! Mind you a 3hr show sounds much more practical! I'm so gald other people have mentioned it aswell-but earplugs come in very useful! They don't block the sound so you can't hear GD but they just protect your hearing. Once you loose your hearing you can't get it back-think about it!!
TheMinority16 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 So does this apply to other shows in the World Tour or just that UK one?
Alan86 Posted May 19, 2009 Author Posted May 19, 2009 I'm sorry, but what's the problem here? Are you saying a four hour show would somehow be a bad thing?I dont see any problem.Where could you possibly get the idea that i was saying that a 4 hour show be a bad thing. The more Green Day the better
