Pineapple Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 ohh this made me so angryi noticed SO many as i listened to the whole album while readingthere is heaps
Greenday_Aussie Posted May 18, 2009 Author Posted May 18, 2009 Thats what annoyed me, I cant learn the lyrics (100%) now, its rediculous to have that many mistakes!
Whatsername the rebel*star Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 i don't think it really matters.fans will get the right lyrics eventually, and it's probably a word or two wrong.nothing to fuss majorly over Yeah! What actually matters is the music and the words sung in each songs!!"Practice makes perfect, but nobody's perfect" - BillieLast Saturday I bought the Limited Edition and hell ya I've noticed too that there are some mistakes among the lyrics...But WHO CARES?I don't personally care!
Nova-Caine Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I don't think its actually mistakes tbh. The ones in the CD's are probably original scribbled down lyrics by Billie but lyrics change and sometimes the singer will just change them as she/he is singing to whatever feels right or fits into the moment. It's not big deal really. We can all hear what he's singing.
novacaine_kid Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Wow people really are nitpicky. its really not important. mistakes are a part of human nature.
Nele Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I remember that Billie songs "these" a few times and the lyric book says "a" or "the".But it doesn't really matter to me. I like to learn the lyrics just by listening better anyway.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Yeah, I noticed some mistakes (actually, quite a lot), but it doesn't really bother me. I hear what he sings anyway, so I just go with that. And I see the booklet from 21CB (and from AI too) more as some sort of 'book' or collection of poetry that tells a story or gives you a message, not necessarily a guide to hear what Billie's singing. That's also why the chorus sometimes is and sometimes isn't repeated or something. But that's maybe just me. If it even makes sense x)(and about Peacemaker, my booklet (the 52 page one) says "the righteons and the meek", not "weak" anyway)
Anja Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 dude, there's mistakes in practically all their lyric books.True.I noticed a few in my booklet but that´s alright. I learn lyrics better by just listening to the songs anyway.
Hermione Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I don't think its actually mistakes tbh. The ones in the CD's are probably original scribbled down lyrics by Billie but lyrics change and sometimes the singer will just change them as she/he is singing to whatever feels right or fits into the moment. It's not big deal really. We can all hear what he's singing.Yeah exactly, if they write the lyric book before all the songs have been recorded that's bound to happen. It's only annoying if you can't hear the final lyrics in the song.
The Disappearing Boy Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 they always make 'mistakes' in the lyric booklet. its by design, not human error.
Whatserekim Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Although theres a good chance some one has already pointed this out, Billie Joe likes to Change words of songs when He sings themMost Green day Songs differ from the Lyrics.Especially Live.
GreenPunkPrincess Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I noticed some mistakes, oh but I don't care
jnine13 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 You guys are talking about the Best Buy Limited Edition right? this is pretty off topic but, im wondering if this is the same booklet that they gave to people when they played the bay area shows in April. Could anyone shed some light on this?It is not. The flyer at the Fox was like a poster folded up into a booklet. When you unfolded it and opened it like a poster, one whole side is lyrics. It looks like a program for a play with a list of the songs. The Best Buy edition is hard cover and around 20-30 pages.
Sharmellow Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 You can also buy the limited edition booklet at HMV.But as for this topic, who cares if they make a mistake. No one's perfect.
Sharmellow Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Atleast its different than the other 10 million that were printedThat is pretty fucked up.
forget_me_nots Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I love finding mistakes in lyrics, and typos in books and whatnot, cuz then I feel like I'm smarter than an editor. xD
JessyRamone Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Yeah, I've noticed that Little Girl has one of the most noticeable lyric errors. In the second chorus, the lyric booklet says "You're a stray for the dregs of humanity." But in the song, it's just the same as the 1st and 3rd chorus though with the "You're a stray for the salvation army."
BillieJoe727 Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 I don't know where else to post this, so I'll post it here. Does anyone happen to know what font is used in the 'Warning' CD booklet?
1039slappygirl Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 I don't know where else to post this, so I'll post it here. Does anyone happen to know what font is used in the 'Warning' CD booklet? Hey, how can I join those clubs you're member of? I mean, should I ask somebody first?
AndrewW91 Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 Well, Peacemaker does actually say meek, and not weak. So thats not a mistake.
Holly Ann Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 I think I've seen a few in the 21CB booklet. Noone's perfect.
in_your_face Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 well, i was thinking of starting a thread about lyrics mistakes.
