She was probably sitting about on her own - all the friends she was visiting in NYC were at work, so she was on her own. She's pretty easy to spot in a crowd

son Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 what pisses me off is are the people selling it on ebay. one kid was practically crying because the police said he couldnt line up because he was given an unused wristband, and he actually liked the band. yet you have fuckers who just went to make profit.

Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 So... it started out with my train coming an hour late. I got to the Best Buy at around 10 PM, made some friends, talked to some people. It was all really fun, but of course, we were all really impatient. We wanted to meet our boys, already!!!Finally, the store opened and sent us in 10 at a time to buy the album. There was an awesome special edition only available at Best Buy, which... was, of course, the one I had to get. After getting the cd, I walked outside and MTV was interviewing some girl. I ended up walking by the camera, so if you see MTV news, watch out for the blonde girl with pig tails and purple bangs! Then it was back in line where we waited for even longer. Finally, they showed up. Camera crew chased them inside. At one point, the gorgeous Mrs. Adrienne Armstrong came outside to take pictures of the crowd. I nearly passed out when I saw her, not even kidding. I saw a flash of white, then fell back into the wall. If you think she's gorgeous in pictures, you haven't seen a damn thing. She's even more gorgeous in person!!!At that point, I heard someone behind me talking and he said "Yeah, I produced this album." I thought they were being a smartass, and so I turned around, and lo and behold, there's BUTCH VIG! I tried to get a shot of him, but he walked away too fast. Some more waiting ensued, and finally we got inside. At that point, we'd been waiting for, get this, 21 hours. 21 hours for 21st Century Breakdown! Hell yeah! The boys were all at a table. Mike, Billie Joe, then Tre. We weren't allowed to take pictures WITH them, but we were allowed to take pictures OF them!!!Finally, I got up to them...ushered over to them by none other than Bill Schneider. I talked to Mike, and cracked a joke about how Green Day took a break on the album and let The Network take over, because, y'know, Christian's Inferno was totally them. I told them they must not hate them as much as they say, and he smirked at me and told me I have no idea. He saw my Lushotology shirt, and was all "Lushotology! I know JUST what to do for you!" and he drew devil horns on Christian and a halo on Gloria. Then he signed my album. I also had a flyer for the signing, which I stuck in my copy of the album for safe keeping, and he actually signed that too. He also saw my Warning logo and my Adeline logo, and he poked each one and was all "I see a Green Day tattoo and an Adeline tattoo." and I was like "Yeah..." all nervous. He was like "Now THAT'S the kind of fan I like to see."Then it was onto Billie Joe. Anyone who knows me knows that that man is my idol. All I managed to do was say "Oh my God! You're my idol! Can I hug you?!" and he was like "Yeah, of course!!!" I was shaking so much when I hugged him, and he was like "It's okay. Calm down." then kissed me on the cheek and signed my album.Onto Tre, and this is where the fun came in. I got up to Tre, and he immediately saw my Lushotology shirt. He signed my album first, and then he declared that by his word, I am an official member in the Church of Lushotology. At that point, he came towards my face with the Sharpie, so I backed off a bit. He was like "Can I draw an upside down cross on your forehead?" and I was like "No..." and he was like "Please?" and how the fuck could I say no to Tre Cool twice? So I was like "Sure, if I can get a hug." He agreed to my terms, and drew the upside down cross on my forehead. As I went in to hug him, the Best Buy security tried to pull me away, and Tre was like "No, I promised this girl a hug!" and yanked me away from security and back over to him, then hugged me. THEN... he asked me to join his harum. Which I found hilarious, so I was like "Suuuuure, why not?" and he informed me that I'm number 7 in his harum, and wrote "#7" on my album. At that point, I left the store. I was shaking so badly I could barely stand up, and I ended up actually collapsing on the ground. I couldn't stop shaking enough to stand for about 30 minutes, and at that point, I went back to Penn Station and caught my bus home. The guys were so awesome. They weren't letting security hurry us through, they were actually taking the time to talk to us, and they were amazing. Best night of MY LIFE!
Spark of Insanity Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Great pictures everyone, its good to hear everyone's stories. Lucky people, sounds like a great experience.
J'net Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Awesome! And thanks for the pictures everyone who posted - helps me picture where Jojo (my girlfriend) was! Everyone's got some great stories. I'm pleased to hear that the band didn't really give a shit about "the rules". They must have been signing for hours - makes me respect them even more for managing to stay happy, polite and friendly. I met Alkaline Trio at a signing once, and saying they were grumpy is being polite. Also Jojo managed to get 2 copies signed - so one of them is mine! Wooo! That's just great!!! Which shows will you and JoJo be going to in October? I sure would love to meet up with the two of you while I'm over there .
farley drexel hatcher Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 It sounds like the band actually made it as worth people's while as possible, which is nice to see. Great photos too, and anyone who waited has definitely got patience!I don't know who this girl is but I thought i'd post it anyway, on the off chance she comes on here/someone on here knows her. I thought it was a really sweet photo.
Dean Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 I am envious of this ''chad'' person, therefore i will kill him in his sleep take the signed cd's and make sure it looks like an accident.........jk jk lol

Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Well, I mean, what you see is what you get with them. The way they carry themselves and portray themselves in interviews and stuff, that's really how they are.
