First Picture from Best Buy Signing

btw, if anyone saw me, i was in the leather jacket, aviators on my head, DK striped shirt, and a black backpack, tell me!

I wake up at 4 am, less than 2 hours of sleep. i rush out my apartment by five, because Falyn Ruzzi's twitter said there were over 150 people as of 3 am. i manage to get on line at 545 am. i was def within the first 200, so i was excited. now to wait three hours. the most painful part had to be the sitting on the side walk. difficult on the ass, even with a cusion. by 7 am, the line was around the block. around 8 ish, they started gathering people near the best buy, in a zig zag barrier maze. They sold CD's before 9, and actually, there were apparently about 450 people when they started selling CDs, so me going early was pretty useless, but im glad i was guaranteed a spot. With the CD [i got the special], we were given one wristband [the sticky ones where they cut off] a flyer about the event

, and a flyer about rules. That flyer pissed me off, so i ripped it, but took a pic.

basically it said that you arent guaranteed to see them, but they will try their best, no cameras, and only the CD can be signed. pissed me off because i brought the only green day things i have, an Insomniac cassette artwork, tre cool signature drum sticks, and a 4 set of buttons that i got from Virgin megastore. I didnt bring the eight page paper i wrote about them because i felt it was so shitty [huge mistake, you will see later] but that wouldnt stop me, knowing them, since they were mega cool, they would be like no problem.

So i got the Cd, went out with some friends, but was stoked for the return. i came back in line at around 2:30, to find that there were just about 100 people in front of me. i was happy, since it wasnt that many [completely forgot about idiot club and the radio winners]. so i lay in the street [thats right, in the street. and it was much more comfortable than the sidewalk], waiting for 7 to arrive. They gave out a shitload of 21st century breakdown posters, and took photos with the by a green day street team. that made me have some hope that we would have more than one thing signed. once around 4 came, we were forced to stand, crammed up against eachother, for about 4 hours together total. we slowly moved by every half hour, and once they clarified that you could actually take pictures of the band, but not with, i was pissed because i have so many cameras, but i didnt take it in fear of them taking it. so anyway, other stations gave out stickers and took pictures and recorded us. at 6:30 ish, we finally saw a black escalade-ish van pass us by, to the back of the best buy. it was dead quiet as he walked, as we were all unsure who it was. i stood on the gate, and saw a spikey headed man step out and walk. i softly said "...thats him!", and so did everyone else. we screamed like crazy, as we saw mike stepped out. of course, five or so seconds later, tre walks out. i laughed and said "oh tre..". so we were all stoked waiting, as they were being interviewed by MTV inside. after about an hour or so, at around 730, they started letting people in. we were wondering why it took so long for them to let people in, but i soon discovered that they were making personal autographs, signing multiple things, and doing random stuff with people. The first guy in line from the beginning got his back signed. alot of people claimed they got hugs, and i saw people with multiple items signed. i was so psyked. i hid the drum sticks in a broken breast pocket, so it was conceiled, hoping to whip it out at the last second, same with the poster. as i was outside the best buy doors, a boy who came out 5 minute previously with the band was almost in tears. he gave billie a clay model, and billie gave him back his neck hankerchief. i was offered a whiff, and i accepted. i realized that if i brought my paper, i could have gotten something too. damn. oh well

about 8:15, i finally got in best buy.

i couldnt believe they were actually there. as soon as i stepped in, i made eye contact with Tre [he was wearing sun glasses, but he was looking at me]. we stared for about 5-10 seconds. i nodded my head to reassure my notion, he nodded in response. i nodded again, and he did also, but he was digging for candy [he had a bowl of random mini candies next to him]. i rose my hand and nodded, and he threw a shit load in the air towards me. i caught two now n laters, while the rest hit unsuspecting fans. i screamed with joy, some looked at me crazy until they saw why. he kept flinging candy and hitting people, so i laughed. Best buy was playing their CD, so once it went silent, i yelled out "TRE I LOVE YOU", with a response later by me " TRE THROW MORE CANDY!!" He knew it was me since i just yelled that, looked at me, grabbed a lolipop, tried underhanding it, but it hit a girl in front. he grabbed a small jawbreaker, threw it at me, and i caught it. i was so happy. i had the poster in my hand like an idiot, so the guard told me put the poster away. i didnt care, as i hid the sticks and shoved the poster in my bag.

as soon as i got to mike, i shook his hand. i prepared a "mike, you are an amazing influence" speech, only to fail and say "thank you" out of nervousness. he drew devil ears on gloria and a halo over christian, then signed it. i went for another handshake, he went for a pound, we mutually switched in confusion, chuckled, and did both again. next to billie.

i passed my book and said hi. then i immediately told him "my girlfriends mom works at the eye doctors place where you get your eye checked out and , so ill be meeting you again in july because ill be there" . He looked at me with a dazed look, partially because he was trying to put together what i said because i was so nervous. after about 3 seconds, he shook his head like if popping out of a daydream, his eyeballs popped up, and he responded "OH! COOL!". so i smiled, he signed my book, i got a handshake, asked for a hug, and got one, said my thanks, and passed my book on to tre.

Tre was a speedy one, he wrote his name mega quickly. but i spat out in resonse of his fast signing "Tre i have your drum stick can you sign them??" . the bouncer heard me and tried getting me out, but he said "Sure!" and signed them both. the bouncer was timid but gave me my book.

So at 8:30, i walked out with posters, a signed exclusive booklet,

and autographed drum sticks.

there were alot of cool people. one of the girl who was interviewed on MTV [she is the last one, she looks indian] heard me speak about tuesdays concert, she will be there too with her friend, so ill be meeting up with them

Wow. Just reading these posts by everyone is making me cry...

I am so happy for all you who got to meet them today...or any time. As I read everyones stories of meeting Green Day...I realize more HOW MUCH they mean to me. I listen to them every day, and can't stop talking about them. I wish I got to meet them...I think that I'd probably start crying at the sight of them though...then they'd probably be like wtf? haha. But yeah, I'm happy for all of you guys. They all seem like such sweethearts...which is nice because some bands aren't that nice and friendly when signing autographs...and trust me, that sticks with you for life...so I'm happy to hear GD is appreciative of their fans.

I'm going to see them in concert in Fargo..in july. I think that I'm going to start crying when they first take the stage. It's going to be so surreal.

I was there, and Billie joe gave me his scarf! (I'll take a picture soon) It was great. My girlfreind made some awsome charms that look just like their instruments for them, (heres a pic of the charms )

and when I gave them to the guys they liked it so much Billie just gave me his scarf! I could hardly speak I was so happy. they even signed my 1000 hours Record. They are so nice! worth the wait, and the traveling! I also met alot of awsome fans! it was perfect.
