Guest Hayley Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 It's pretty expencieve but I think that if I lived there I may would give these money.
Greenday_Aussie Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Would anybody be interested in getting something signed for me, I will PayPal you the money, fuck I'll do a bank deposit if you want. What are these bundle things? I know it says one autograph, but you can at least try!
04rebhop Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Ack. I wish i didn't live in the UK. They never do signings here!
MassHysteria Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Someone on Idiot Club said that they weren't letting people line up until an hour before the signing. We figure people will be hanging around anyways, and some people are going to meet up before hand. Anyone here interested? I personally WAY psyched to get to meet these guess, and $30 to me is a small price to pay for that experience.
IzButt Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Maaaan I'm so jealous of all of you going Have fun for me please Couldn't get one in time. But.I've got some plans that made up for it though(even though meeting Green Day would be the ultimate thing to do for me) and I wouldn't miss what I'm going to.
Kate Austen Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 First off, if this is a thread that needs to be closed then so be it. Either that, or please move it to the appropriate section...As many of you know, tomorrow is the meet and greet at Hot Topic in LA. As some know, me and my friends have our own music that we created with 4 other kids, and we've done quite well. We've been getting promos from labels, and have interviewed several bands already. We were recently linked by Rolling Stone magazine - and this is all within an 8 month period. It has been a ton of hard work, and it's a tough industry to break into (music media, seeing as so many sites/blogs/magazines already exist). Getting to the point, I wanted to get your thoughts on an idea I had. I was considering having my friend (who helps run the site) - ask Billie Joe at the meet and greet if they would be interested in doing an interview for our site - one thirty beats per minute, and just explain how we are a group of kids who run this site in an industry that is tough to break into. I think, Billie would be cool with the fact that we are sort of the under dogs in the media industry, but that we are pursuing our passion. But to take it further, the idea would be - we would ask if they would be interested in being interviewed, with questions from their fans. So we would go on here, and take a bunch of questions from YOU guys - and then do the interview. So an interview basically done by the fans. What do you guys think? Is this a bad idea? Would it be rude/bad of us to ask this at a Meet & Greet? Your ideas/thought would be appreciated. Don't worry, our feelings won't get hurt if you think it's a horrible idea. I just don't want to embarrass ourselves by asking, if it's a dumb idea.

Since this is a meet and greet they're only going to have a certain amount of time with each person. I doubt he would even be able to take in what you were asking him because it's going to be a pretty rushed thing. But you could always get the details written down clearly with a quick run down of what it is you're asking (and obviously contact details, too) and pass it along, in a sort of "it'd be great if you could take a quick look at this" way - and just see from there.Good luck anyway

I was thinking the same thing about it being a bit rushed, and the way Billie's brain works, he'd be thinking about a bazillion things at once, including all the people in line behind you.

Kate Austen Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Thanks for the advice guys. I thought the same thing after I posted that. They prob are really busy too - and it wouldn't be fair to the people in line behind us. Maybe I can try the envelope idea, or just giving him a letter that has all the details.I guess it's worth a shot. =p

J'net Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 So I know Kate Austen and amy_runs are going to this signing, and I expect some good photos and stories . Who else is going from GDC?

Sharmellow Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I'd spend 30$ to get an autograph and meet them. You don't often get a chance to meet them.

Guest TwoDollarMellie Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I was gonna take a long ass bus to get the wristband for this thing, but then I realized that it'd be too hectic for me to go back and forth and then back again. And I'm not really much about meeting the band, just seeing them live is enough for me.But for the ones going, have fun!
