Tripe Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Good luck to anyone who tries to get a wristband! This wouldn't be my "thing," either, although reports back from people who did the NYC Best Buy signing last night all said the band was very engaged/chatty with everyone who got their CD signed. It was a better deal there, you only had to buy a $10 CD, not some $30 shirt!

rudiecantfail Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 no thanks, that would be like what, $50? I will live vicariously through the people that go and take pictures.Nevermind, it's $30 for the whole thing. Still...

I will live vicariously through the people that go and take pictures.Nevermind, it's $30 for the whole thing. Still...Maybe its just me but still $30 isn't bad. I went to a Casino in Vegas once and this actor wanted $200 for his autograph. Now i think thats crazy!!!!!
rudiecantfail Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 I mean, at least you get something, it's not just paying $30 for the autograph. Maybe if I didn't already have the album. But $30 is half a ticket to one of their shows, I'd rather see them live than meet them. I could get a lot of groceries for $30 too, I feel old saying that...or poor.
GreenDayzStar27 Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 I got my wristband yesterday On the little flier it says no cameras allowed but I asked the cashier and she said they don't really enforce it

It was a better deal there, you only had to buy a $10 CD, not some $30 shirt! How do you think the people at the Fox felt when they had to pay 50 bucks a ticket? We won tickets, and had to pay for them. And t-shirts were 35 bucks at the venue.
amy_runs Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 I caved. I got wristbands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Miqui_Dee Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 What's Hot Topic? Sounds kind of random, and for having to pay $30... well that's shit. I'm sure most of us are all broke by now.Be very very glad that you don't know what Hot Topic is. It used to be a cool store to go to and they sell band t-shirts and neat clothes but then it just turned awful a few years ago. At least the ones around here.
masshysteria1 Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 after reading about the meet and greet at best buy, I'm more excited than ever, can't friggin' wait, well worth the $30, I'd pay more to experience this.
rage-love-life Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Uhhhhhh. Francisco? Are you lost?Oh, just realized it. Yeah, I am. If I had only read the article closer...
laurelw Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 I live in Norhtern CA. We can go to southern CA for the signing, but we can't get to the store this weekend to buy the bundle and get the wristbands. Can anyone who lives near the Hollywood store buy 2 for us, and we will pay you back on June 2nd? Please let me know. Thanks!

love_billie_joe Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 I think they did the same thing for the cast of Twilight. I would LOVE to meet Green Day (I think I would cry if I met Billie in person), but I feel as though I would want to sit down and have a conversation with them, etc. So yeah...
Kirima Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 I caved in and got the wristband. It was not my intention at first... but...Ah, what the hell. Might as well meet 'em.
J'net Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 I caved. I got wristbands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I'm SO happy for you Amy . I know right where you were. When I travel to Hollywood on business, I stay at the Renaissance right there, and I walk past that Hot Topic every day. When Andres and Mark and I were staying there for the HLaHG premiere, there was a long line of people outside the store and a security guard standing there watching them. I asked the guard what was going on, and he said Blue October was going to be there in a few minutes. I'll just bet the crowd for Green Day is going to be way more intense than that one was.Anyway ... long story to say I'm really excited for you! And you better ask them about getting HLaHG released!!!
cartoonjunkie Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 CRAP!!! You mean you have to get the wristband ahead of time and not on that day of the signing?!? Well that sucks!!!How come nothing cool happens down here in San Diego? This is effing bullshit, and proves why I need to move to either SF or LA so I can be in on more of the action (that involves Green Day)...

Hopefully I can get a straight answer
yenom2003 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Does anyone know how many wristbands they are giving out? If someone would be kind enough to buy me a bundle I will pay you with paypal. let me know
Drink Drank Punk Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I think I may go to this. It depends on if I can get a few days off.

laurelw Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I'm still hoping that someone can buy a bundle for me, since I live in northern CA. Please let me know. I can pay you back at the event, or through Paypal. Please?

Kate Austen Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I caved, and bought a bundle. I might not be able to make the signing, due to previous engagements. If that is the case, I'm going to be sending my friend to get my CD signed. Either way, prob going to have this framed for my room, so I can cherish it.
