Let me know. The thing is, 1iota was only giving out 1 tickets at a time. If you requested 2 this morning, it wouldn't work. Only if you requested 1. I also know they were blocking people out depending on zip code.

I requested two this morning, but I changed it earlier to just 1. And I have two accounts pending 1 each.

And I just changed my zip codes to Burbank. Thank you for that info!

Hey everybody! I'm new here, but I registered to tell ya' how my hot topic experience was. :)

Okay, so:

Meeting Green Day was absolutely great! I sat in line for 3 hours, lonesome. :( Except when my mom came to check up on me. Hah. It went by so long. Then the line started moving- I got inside the hottopic. It was crowded, I didn't see them until I was walking towards them. But I was standing there, very anxious. I was planning on sneaking a picture, which wasn't allowed- but there were these tall ass security guards alll around so I planned on not. So I was next in line to go up and Billie glanced at me, I got so excited. Then I walked up to Mike, While he was signing my Dookie booklet I said, "You guys are wonderful" and it came out the least calm and collected ever, I sounded ridiculous. But he was all "Thank you!" and he gave it to me with a big smile and I shook his hand. Then Billie, - it was hard to talk. He was the most attentive in the group- I'm sure he could tell I was nervous (i was shaking) but I told him too, "You guys are wonderful" and he replied, "Aw, thanks! How are you?" besides saying I felt like I was about to barf I replied "Good." and this whole time, i sound ridiculous, could barely get my words out. And he signed it then he was like "Whats your name?" & I said "Andrea." I wasn't talking right so he misheard, "Angie?" He said. "No, Andrea." "& How do you spell that?" "A-n-d-r-e-a" and he gave it back with a smile "Thank you!" and I was dying to ask for a hug but I couldn't speak before it was time for Tre's signature. He was the least excited, unexpectedly, very solemn. There was a big bowl of candy in front of him and I said "Do you mind?" and he goes "Nah, go ahead!" So I took a tootsie roll. & Then, while walking away, the tears came. I cried pretty damn hard, man. Everyone was giggling- some resonating with me. It was absolutley great. :)

That's SO awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience with us, and welcome to the forum :).

Glad everyone who was lucky enough to go had an amazing time  I'm sure it'll be England's turn soon...I mean, they love us, don't they?

Hahaha - amy_runs has now brought us the new word for the forum - that's just brutal, Amy !

So yeah last night was pretty much amazing. Showed up at 6 PM, so we were about 200th in line.

Sadly, they had all the racks in the way so that taking photos from the outside was basically impossible, also security kept telling me to move, making it very difficult! I mangaged to snap off some burry shots of Tre, and one dim shot of Mike.

I was so thrilled to talk to them. Approaching the table, Tre said he liked my shirt, which I thought was weird, since it was one of Hot Topic's 21st CB shirts. I told them how great it was to see them in something other than photos and videos, and Billie said "Yeah it the air.... I mean in the flesh" (you could totally tell he was jet lagged, he took like 2 or 3 seconds for him to register I was there). I told them I'd come out from Utah to see them, and was staying over at another Idiot Club members house. Mike thought that was awesome, and shook my hand. I told Billie that I couldn't wait to hear them play on Sunday in Salt Lake City, that hearing East Jesus Nowhere in "Mormonville" was going to be great, to which he laughed. Tre then said "Did you know Utah doesn't recycle?" I told him no, and he's like "Yeah, they don't. You're mission is to change that OK?" I told him sure thing. He then asked me to please take one a piece of candy from his hat (I will never eat that Tootise Roll). Lastly, before we got ushered away, I gave Billie a letter that I'd written to him and asked him to promise me he'd read it, to which he responed "Don't worry, I promise!" I was then escorted away with the biggest grin on my face.

Sorta wish I'd asked for a hug now that I see others got away with it, but what the hell, this day was still one of the best of my life.

Security seemed a lot more strict than what New Yorkers reported.

Now I'm way stoked to see them at Fonda, and see if they respond to my letter

That's so great! I always feel so proud of the guys because they are so sweet to everyone - even when they're exhausted as it sounds like Billie was tonight. I'm delighted for you that you had such a wonderful experience.

Oh and a minor detail I noticed you had the San Jose date listed as 8/19 on your signature but its supposed to 8/18 sorry dont mean to sound like a stickler about i just have this thing about pointing errors out

I finally wrote my recap! I might have forgotten a few things... But here goes nothin!

There was a Green Day meet & greet at the Hollywood and Highland mall in Hot Topic on June 2, 2009.

My dad and I left at 3ish, and got in line at about 3:45. We were roughly 40th in line. I brought some racing shoes and my dad brought my little brothers hat to be signed. We were only allowed one autograph per member. The line was also on the floor below, in some tunnel... And I saw a brutal dragon fly on the wall, so I took a picture of it!

In line, a guy was interviewing/asking everyone what they brought to have signed. When he got to me, his video camera ran out of power. Then he took out his camera, and it wasn't working either! So he just took a pic of me on his phone. Haha.

John Roecker walked by, and I got another picture with him. He was like, "See, I wear my glasses so I look like you! Actually I would need a mask." lolwut? I had no idea what that meant, but I laughed anyway and said thank you!

And some Hot Topic worker guy saw my shirt and said, "Oh hey awesome shirt! That's the only Live Freaky Die Freaky shirt I've seen here."

Me: "Thanks!"

They began moving the line at 7ish, when Green Day finally got there, and we went in groups. The first 30 people went, then the next 15. (Which we were near the end of) So we were the second group to go! And as the line started moving, people were cheering and it was such a strange feeling. I can't even describe it. It was like... standing in line to get on a roller coaster. A roller coaster of epic proportions. And getting onto the escalator was incredibly weirder. Like rising to the heavens!

When we were outside of the store, we could see them through the window. It was like we were at the zoo, staring at some magical animals inside, watching their every move. (Ok I'll stop now with the lame comparisons)

So I decided to take a picture of a GD sign, and some security guy was like, "No! Don't do that. No cameras. Put it away now." Fine. Geez. At least I got the pic! Hehehe

When we got inside, some guy immediately cut off our wristbands. I wanted to keep it forever :(

So I brought some brand new racing flats for Green Day to sign, so when I race I will race with Green Day and be faster! Haha!

All of 21st Century Breakdown was playing inside Hot Topic. When I was talking to the band, East Jesus Nowhere was on. (New favorite song!)

After waiting in the line, when I got to the table, Bill Schneider was standing there. He was like,

BS (LOL @ his initials): "So what are you having them sign? Your shoe?"

Me: "My shoes"

BS: "Your shoes?

Me: "Yes, shoe-ZZZZZ"

BS: "Oh! ZZZZ shoeZZZZ?"

Me: "Yes!"

BS: "Okay. We'll give that one to Billie.... and that one to Mike."

Then I walked up to the table of the gods and said my prayers. This minute and a half seemed like eternity.

Mike: "Hey!"

Me: "Hi!"

Mike: "Woah these are nice shoes." *looks all over shoe for a spot to sign* "Could you have given me something more difficult to sign?"

Me: "Actually, I could have haha"

Mike: "Where am I gonna sign these?" *looks around shoe for a place*

Me: "Oh anywhere you want! Just around there, I guess" *points to part of shoe*

Mike: "How am I gonna sign these? It's not gonna show up..." *begins to sign* "Oh hey it works fine! So do you run?"

Me: "Yes!"

Mike: "Really?"

Me: "Yeah"

Mike: "Where do you run around down here?"

(I was gonna say a stupid joke or something, but my mind was blank) "I run for $&#*@# High School."

Mike: "Oh cool! Are those Saucony's?"

Me: "Yeah they are!"

Mike: "Those are really nice shoes. Very comfortable. Those are brutal."

Me: "Haha thanks! And yes they are!"

Mike was definitely the easiest to talk to.

Billie: Billie looked completely worn out and exhausted. I could see it by looking at him. (They were just in Japan a day or two before)

He stared at my LFDF shirt but said nothing of it. As he looks at my shoe, he says "Hi! How ya doin?" With a huge smile on his face.

One deep look into his eyes, and I could feel my face heating up and turning red. Don't do this now, Amy. ".....good." Was all that came out.

I think he said something like "It's okay." Or "Are you okay?" I really can't remember!

Then he said something about brutal... Like "I was gonna sign your shoe saying brutal! Hahahaha" And I laughed back. I had no clue what he said, but I made Billie laugh. Or he made himself laugh. And it happened right in front of me. That's pretty brutal.

Tre: Tre didn't say much, but I don't blame him cause I couldn't have said much to him either. I had already talked to two members in Green Day. And a third one? I couldn't possibly handle that. But he signed my shoe on the toe.

And my dad was with me too, so he struck up a conversation with each member and shook all their hands. (Lucky! I was too focused on keeping my heart pumping and blood flowing)

But to Mike and Billie he said, "Yeah I'm here for my son cause he's having his 6th grade graduation, so I'm getting his hat signed for him!" (And he (my brohter) was not, he was at Magic Mountain for his 6th grade trip. He graduates on the 4th)

Mike: "6th grade! Awesome! That's brutal man."

Billie: "Aww I guess it's that time of year already! Huh"

Dad: "Yeah and we also saw the Hot Tubs! You pulled my daughter up on stage twice!"

Mike: "Oh man that was a good show!"

Billie: "Oh cool!"

Tre: *talking to me* "Where?"

Me: "The Roxy"

Tre: "Where!?"

Me: "The Roxy!"

Tre: "Oh, sweet!"

And as we were walking away, my dad said "I love your stuff!" And I yelled "Thank you!!!!" And Mike was saying something still but security told us to leave. It was awesome! I will definitely never forget it! Outside of the store, there was a bunch of girls standing behind a barricade, trying to catch a glimpse of the band. I guess they couldn't get wristbands, so they waited outside. (I would have done the same lol) And as we were walking out, my dad raised his fist into the air (with hat in hand) and yelled "Woo hoo!" It was a call of victory.

oh no problem at all, I do look forward to seeing you and other GDCr's at the San Jose show perhaps we can meet before or afterhand somehow as well
