haha I know. My spam thread was struck by lightning instantly.

Shall we revive it? :eyebrows:

Even though we might get a spankin' from one of the MODs?

On topic, even though I already answered this in the other thread, my favorite is Horseshoes and Handgrenades.

I concur.

But Horseshoes and Handgrenades comes in close second. I love Heroes and Cons aswell, but I'd already heard some of the songs from that act before the album was released.

Heroes and cons just because my 2 most favorites song are there. BTL and LNOE.

There was a thread like this, and an even better one, because it has a poll in it.

Though, I'd still say Charlatans And Saints is my favorite :)

Still surprised this is still open

Anyway, definitely Charlatans and Saints!

Charlatans and Saints.

Charlatans and Saints is second for me, its the middle of the album and I hope East Jesus Nowhere makes a video.

My favorite song from Heroes & Cons is Before The Lobotomy.

This was hard, because I think that 21 Guns is the best song on the album, and that's in Horseshoes and Handgrenades, and I listen to a few of the Heroes and Cons songs allot as well, but I went with Charlants and Saints because that is the act that I listen to mostly as a whole, and don't skip songs on. On the other acts I skip Last Night on Earth and See the Light.

I love the whole album so I like all the acts the same

I think a big reason I like H&H so much is not only because it's probably the most "punk" act, (a lot more hard-hitting and aggressive and hectic than the rest of the album) but also because as the third act, it inherently has an epic, climactic type vibe. It feels like the album REALLY picks up here, which was probably intentional with the three-act structure (thank you, high school film class!) It just works on a whole different level.

Definitely Horseshoes and Handgrenades. Horseshoes and Handgrenades, Static Age, 21 Guns, and American Eulogy are very possibly my four favorite songs on the whole album, and See the Light is just a perfect ending.

Heroes and Cons would be second, they're all great songs but the don't stand out to me as much as H&H. The title track and iViva La Gloria! are two of the masterpieces of the album, but the rest I can kind of take or leave. Know Your Enemy as great for what it is, as is Last Night on Earth. I really like the structure of Before the Lobotomy, but there's something about it that kind of holds it back for me. Christian's Inferno is a cool song, but that's about it.

Charlatans and Saints is hit-or-miss for me. East Jesus Nowhere, Last of the American Girls, and Murder City are great, and Restless Heart Syndrome is a great song but I kind of have to be in the right mood to listen to it. Peacemaker I also enjoy a lot when I'm in the right mood, but it almost seems like a novelty thing...and I don't like Viva La Gloria? (Little Girl) much at all, definitely my least favorite song on the album and possibly my least favorite they've ever done.

Definitely Horseshoes and Handgrenades, possibly my four favorite songs on the album and then See the Light is the perfect capper. This act feels the most "punk" to me, like the most hard-hitting and aggressive, even hectic. I just always feel like the album REALLY picks up with this act. That has a lot to do with it being the third act though, so it inherently has that climactic vibe. It's on a whole different level.

Heroes and Cons is really good too, and for what it is as an "Act 1" it couldn't get much better. The title track and iViva La Gloria! are two of the masterpieces of the album, and Know Your Enemy is awesome for what it does. I prefer the overall feel of Act 3 though, plus the second half of this act kinda falls flat.

Charlatans and Saints would be a lot better if Peacemaker and Viva La Gloria? didn't feel like total novelty songs to me. I just don't like them at all, especially the latter. I really Like Last of the American Girls and Murder City though. East Jesus Nowhere is an awesome song, but I don't enjoy it as much as I did the first few times, maybe I've just listened to it too much. Restless Heart Syndrome is an amazing song from a songwriting perspective, but I have to be in the right mood to really enjoy it.

Well, at least your views are consistent. heh

Oh and I agree with you btw.
