Jaymee!! Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 The awkwardness of the interview was almost too unbearable for me to handle. Billie really shouldn't try to be intentionally funny, especially around Colbert. It's an automatic fail. Thank fucking God for Tre.AND did you notice that my predictions for how the interview would go were correct? Billie answered, Mike talked about the musical (the ONLY time he talked) and Tre was his normal goofy self!Ahhh, I am a master.

It was so awkward when Billie said: "Like our songs" and no one laughed

forget_me_nots Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 That interview........I almso fell on the floor laughing. Does anyone have the lyrics to the song Colbert sang or do I have to go back and get them myself? Oh well, I'll do it. My God, that was hilarious. I thank God for Green Day.
forget_me_nots Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 If anyone wants it, I got the lyrics. And I almso dropped dead when BJ started singing it, I swear to God. I WANT THAT EPISODE. xD"I thank God for freedom, beef, and the Constitution.I thank God for chrurch, WWII, and the Revolution.I thank God for dogs in hats, and for me, and for you.And I know that God thanks me, too! You're welcome!" I'm gonna go watch it again, haha.
Miqui_Dee Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I just watched it and nearly fell over from laughing. God, I love Tre. Billie Joe is so cute when he laughs too.
Whatsername868 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I just realized what one of the things I miss about Billie is...he never shows his arms anymore. I know it can't be too cold on stage, but he always has jackets on now.I liked seeing his tattoos.
AtTheLibrary19 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Ok that was lame. I guess I don't get American humour but that guy was not funny one bit. Thanks to whoever uploaded it for us..xhaha yeah not even many people in American understand him. He's basically a liberal guy who puts on a character of a really obnoxious conservative political talk show host (we have a million in America on Fox news, etc.). And I guess you have to really be up on American current events and politics to really understand most of his jokes.
Kisa Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Yeah, I can't stand Stephen Colbert (much prefer Jon Stewart), so I was really glad when Tre sort of broke the tension.
forget_me_nots Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 so I was really glad when Tre sort of broke the tension.God bless Tre Cool.
Jaymee!! Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I agree, Billie is not a comedianMike talked? I didnt notice that....Yuh when Colbert was talking about choreographing dances to AI, and Mike said quietly 'well there's going to be a musical...' but Colbert interrupted him and that was the end of it.
Samantha Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Yeah Mike's always too busy laughing his ass off at Tre
forget_me_nots Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Yuh when Colbert was talking about choreographing dances to AI, and Mike said quietly 'well there's going to be a musical...' but Colbert interrupted him and that was the end of it.What annoys me is that Mike is always interrupted by *some*one.
Ila Reto Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 hi, i've never seen the show before, and have yet to watch this....was it just an interview or did they preform too?
permanent_insanity Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Yuh when Colbert was talking about choreographing dances to AI, and Mike said quietly 'well there's going to be a musical...' but Colbert interrupted him and that was the end of it.oh okay, well I had to have the TV quiet so no wonder I missed that
