Starbug Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 I always go seats because I'm claustrophobic, so the whole hot air/getting squished/not being able to move thing doesn't work well for me. I tried it once at a small venue, and unless I'm able to overcome my claustrophobia or get a wild hair up my butt and have another go at it, I'll be doing seats for a while. I also like the seating because it's like your own personal space. Just because your tickets say you have seats, it doesn't mean that your ass is planted there. I sure as hell don't sit down when Green Day is onstage. I also like seats because if you need to pee, you can go and come back without losing your spot.I am claustrophobic to a point as well, and I didn't handle the FHT show too well at first, which is why I ended up having to move. But if I had it to do over, I'd have been better prepared. I didn't expect that, it was my first show like that lol I moved over to the side. Iw as still in the crowd, but it wasn't right in front of Billie, which was where it was REALLY insane lol I think, knowing what to expect, it will go a lot better for me this go round.And as far as leaving to go pee, no. I'm gonna try not to drink anything about an hour or two before the show, and sneak some water in with me so we'll have something to wet our whistles, I know we're gonna get thirsty. But otherwise, nothing. I don't want to leave to pee, no way in hell I'm doing that. Waiting all day to get good spots and then having to pee? NO! I'll go in my pants if I have to, I'll probably be wet with sweat all over anyways haha

But honestly, people may think, "EW pee in your pants?" but come on, you've got your own sweat, and everybody else's, all over you. I was literally soaking wet after the Foxboro show. No one would ever know. And Tre does it, so why not? hahaReally, I don't think it will come to that (it never has, it's something my friends and I joke about lol). I'll just not drink, and bring water with me and drink minimally like at FHT. I drank after three or four strangers at that show. I would've drank from a boot I was so thirsty...

If it's at a small venue like when I saw them at the DNA Lounge then I'd definitely pick floor tickets but I'm not sure how the floor is at big venues. I got seats at the SF one four years ago and it was pretty relaxing. I enjoyed it.

I would've drank from a boot I was so thirsty...Haha yeah.... the first concert I went to was My Chemical Romance and I was like OMG this pit is hardcore! hahahaha.... then I went to Killswitch Engage, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold..... needless to say they were much rougher.But yeah I will definitely not be drinking alcohol that night for that reason.... don't wanna have to pee my pants hahah
