rootbeersoup Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Be glad they charge so little for their musicI've changed I can attest to this!
Juan Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I've changed This is true. First time I met Dai, well let's just say it wasn't an open bear hug
xVanessa86x Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I know what you mean. That's how I get sometimes, I feel that I should pay more for it because they put so much effort in...
Peace and Rainbows Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I'm going to pay more for the special edditions
TheBullwinkle Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I'm buying about 6 copies of this album in various formats and versions, so I'm obviously not going to want to pay more for their music. But I'd probably pay $1,000 for one of their albums if that's what they wanted to charge. This is an addiction that could empty my bank account.
Geek@Home Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I think I really could be alone here, I'm not a downloader, for several reasons, the main one being that I think that if I love a band enough to want to listen to their music in my home, ipod or whatever, If that band moves me so that much, I want to pay for the privilege of that joy. It's my way of saying "thanks for making a record that I love"Soooo anyway, I was in HMV yesterday and I saw the new album for £9.99 and I dunno, I just feel like I might owe them about five pounds more than that....Kinda depresses me that CD's are being sold so cheap just to compete with the digital market..maybe I've just got swine flu... i dunno.,..Maybe you think in a similar way to me. HMV is known for (at times) being quite expensive, and i relate how much the album is with how good it is. If its on offer i think know-one likes it.Maybe its like that.
ImnotaDrIjustPlayOneOnTV Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 what, you've mellowed in your old age? You know I love you sweetcheeks!I've changed
Justice Not Charity Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 music's not supposed to be expensive. how do you think green day got their start? selling old vinyls by hand for a few dollars or having their record in a local shop for no more than 5 bucks. thats how it should be. 10 dollars is a good price for a CD here in the US. 20 is ridiculous. i do enjoy the fact that i am actually BUYING the PHYSICAL ALBUM from the band, and they do deserve my money for making such an amazing record..but music aint about money.
Geek@Home Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 but music aint about money.Music certainly isn't but sustaining the music industry is. If you want Green Day to visit your country and have grand stages with fireworks for a fantastic show. Great looking albums and amazing quality music you have to donate towards the cause.
music_that_is Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Haha you can give me that extra 5 dollars if you wanna
fashionvictim86 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 they gave you a mod job? they must have been hard up Everyone know's you're a mean ass. Juan Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!Greem Day is awesome and it's of importance for them as it's for you something else that you'd likely spend some ridiculous cash. That kinda made sense.
Trotsky Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Greem Day is awesome and it's of importance for them as it's for you something else that you'd likely spend some ridiculous cash. That kinda made sense. The only person I would spend ridiculous amounts of money for is my girlfriend and she wouldn't ask me to.

belindatest Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 My first thought when 21CB was announced was, "AWESOME! I'm gonna pirate that!"Fast-forward 3+ months, and here I am at school waiting to get home to receive the album from iTunes. I got the deluxe version for $25, but I felt (And still feel) like I should be paying more.
