crislostinvictory Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 are you guys fucking serious?Mentioning bands like Muse, Kings Of Leon, The Hoosiers, The Rasmus??? FUCKING HELL.. gimme a breakMUSE - Are a stadium band on their own in the UKKings of Leon - Are also an arena band in the UK.The Hoosiers - The lamest bubblegum pop band ever, they have guitars so girls buy that shit. The Rasmus - Do i even have to explain? I know they're taking some shit bands on their US tour, but it seems more likely it's going to be a more punky sort of band for the UK or even just a straight up rock band... None of the above.I'd like. Gaslight Anthem (Could happen because they're doing pretty well)Bouncing Souls (long time friends, did the UK Warning Tour)Against Me! (Butch Vig did their last album, and their also doing pretty well, they toured with Foos in the US)King Blues (Share the same promotion company SJM so they get to play with loads of sick bands ie GD)Gallows (Wierd, i doubt it, coz their way different and they'd scare people) There is one british indie rock band that billie has mentioned a few times, i cant remember their name though, i've got a blank mind atm.. but i reckon they'll take them.. Arghh
sillybanana Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Gallows (Wierd, i doubt it, coz their way different and they'd scare people) just checked gallows upcoming tour date... they are free after Aug

Arghhagreed! Even tho, for example, Muse are only playin venues that holds about 3000 ppl in some European countries.I don't even like them and I don't think they will support, it will just not happen cuz of the reasons u just said! And Kings of Leon are crap as well...Bouncing souls wud be awesome
TheMinority Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Not Billy Talent, not cause they're not a good band but because I've seen them live...... 3 times. That's enoughJimmy Eat World again Loved them in Gothenburg, Sweden.Muse seems too big to be a warm-up. I wanna discover a new band so I hope for something I haven't heard so much of yet but then have a few songs you've heard of and like. The Rasmus is one of those bands... I liked "In the Shadows" a lot. But I've heard they've changed to the worse.
Mrs. Nobody Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 probably won't be blink-182, since they're heading on tour in august and i don't know when they'll finishplus they're touring with weezer and FOB, so they're out of the window =D edit: sort of (:

Mrs.Kerplunk Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 wtf..The Rasmus? eww Billy Talent would be great ...yeah (:
Mrs. Nobody Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 To bad, that would have been my dream concert!take off FOB, i'd agree
RebelofSuburbia Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I reckon they'll pick some band that isn't huge yet in Europe. Like how Franz Ferdinand and the Kaiser Chiefs aren't really that big in the US. Billy Talent would be cool, or the Living End. And I would really love to see Flogging Molly opening up for them but that's probably not gonna happen, they're a big thing here. I just hope they'll bring a support act on tour in stead of us having to cope with some lame-ass local band. not saying all local bands suck but the ones I have seen as support weren't very enjoyable.
Buddy Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I don't think that Billy Talent will support Green Day. They're pretty big here.Though it would be cool! And really awsome would be Die Toten Hosen. I mean they toured together in the past and the "Hosen" really like Green Day as I read in some interviews. But they actually aren't a support-band either... :/
novacaine_kid Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Billy talent might be big in europe but not so big that they couldnt support green day. and as ben said on radio 1 the other night, they are pretty big fans as well. i'm sure they would jump at the chance. I'm hoping its not the fratellis or the kooks or something.

fletcher-999 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I agree!!Thing is though there is plenty of bands out there who would jump at the chance to tour with green day... so it could be anybody .... as long as they are good i'm not really botherd who it is

(Well they are a german band so that's not surprising.) But I see them on 6th July anyway so I don't care really.

It won't matter if the support band are big in one or two european countries, they might not be as big all over europe. So it can really be any band that aint extremely big worldwide
.Brian Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 billy talent would be a possibility.i just visited their website, and it says that they have some shows this summer.last show is on august 29 oor so. would be fitting.mhh i don't know. but for me, it doesn't really matter in general.as long as i see green day, i'm happy.

novacaine_kid Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I think we will get one fairly well known band that will do the whole euro tour, and the opening band will probably be from whatever country they are in at the time. So the uk will get an up and coming british band, same with germany, france etc.
Mrs. Nobody Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 i wonder when they'll announce it. i'm dying to know
