Angela. Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 I loved the preformance. Before GD played, I was falling alseep. xD And I figured that if I missed it, it wouldn't be a huge deal, because KYE would probably be played. (And I was sure someone here was going to rip it and let us download it.) But I woke up about a minute or two before GD started playing, and I'm glad that I did wake up. When EJN started playing, I literally looked like a mix of these: . I was excited, loving that one of my favorites from the album was being played, and surprised that it wasn't the typical KYE.And as soon as EJN ended and Tre' turned around, I said out loud, "I wonder what Tre' is going to do." And when he put on the red robe, I started laughing. When he put the pipe in his mouth, I started cracking up. And when he sat at Dave's desk and put the pipe in his mouth, I started laughing even harder. And at the very end, he started lighting the pipe up. That made me laugh, as well. Between the TP dancing and this, it made me realize just how awesome Tre' is.
norcalgreendayfan Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 I love Tre So do I, he can always put a smile on my face and make me laugh
goldwing7500 Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 They played EJN! I was so happy. The performance was amazing. LOL @ Tre at the end.Best T.V Performance I've Seen By Them!
greenbear Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Thanks for the download. Awesome performance and Tre is just
deadair Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 I just watched it on my DVR. I was so glad when they started playing the riff of East Jesus Nowhere. I was expecting the overused infamous opening drum beat of Know Your Enemy. It's also nice to see that Tre hasn't totally stopped his hilarious antics
norcalgreendayfan Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Best T.V Performance I've Seen By Them!It really was, I so enjoyed watching it on Letterman
Doug Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 that was beautiful. I was so happy to hear them play something besides KYE or 21 guns because those aren't really favorites of mine. East Nowhere was an amazing choice. I never know how to react to tre on letterman. It's so unheard of for bands to do anything besides play on talkshows. I love it.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 That was an awesome performance And gotta love Tre :]

I love it.Dave has always loved Green Day and he loves Tre's craziness even more, I think. He'll be crushed if Tre ever acts like a normal person.

I think Dave would be beside him self if Tre came on his show and did nothing wacky, it would leave Dave speechless
Travis Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Does anyone have a rip of the performance off tv? The youtube version is horrible quality.
Eirik Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 That was my first reaction. And you people call yourselves "fans", I'm ashamed...

Sara Armstrong Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 i love this damn song. does that mean that it might be a single after "21 guns"?
jrot Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Awesome performance. On a side note, I've always wondered what Letterman's reaction would be if they ever had Tre perform All By Myself and/or Dominated Love Slave.
Hermione Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Tre you legend!!! I knew you wouldn't let me down. Plus, an excuse for this That might be my favourite EJN performance yet. God just when I thought that fantastic song couldn't get any better, it's even better live. Uhhh love it
Sanah Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Ahh I still can't get over how amazing the performance was.
themole Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 i love this damn song. does that mean that it might be a single after "21 guns"? Probably. I always thought EJN had the stuff to be a solid 3rd single, not poppy enough to be #1, but not different from first single to be the second...
Drink Drank Punk Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I watched this when I got off work today and it was great! I thought they were gonna play know your enemy or 21 guns but I was very happy to see them play East Jesus Nowhere. Great performance.
