the problem is that if I had voted for Warning, I'll be feeling bad for not voting for 21stCB... or for not voting for 1,039/SOSH which is one of my faves album.... and THIS IS SO HARD T_________T xD

It's really hard to choose one and at first I was about to vote 21CB but then I just thought "Would I stand 5 years of listening just to 21CB as I did in American Idiot?" and at last I voted American Idiot...

I agree ^^. It has to be Dookie. If you grew up in the early 90s, especially right about the time (1994 i think) when every radio station was playing Longview, you'd know how legendary that album is. AI and 21CB are also great, though!

I'm kinda surprised how far ahead 21CB is... it is incredibly awesome and epic, I just didn't think so many people thought it was their absolute favorite.

I chose AI after some deliberation. It is, I think, the best album I have ever listened to... I love every single song, they are literally all perfect and I can listen to the cd over and over again without getting sick of it. add in the lyrics, the emotional resonance, how awesome the songs are live.... :wub:

I can't choose between American Idiot and Kerplunk. Those albums are both so fantastic, I really can't choose. Dookie and 21st Century Breakdown also rank very closely.

Even after the initial "omg new album :woot: " craze, 21CB is still my favorite by a mile and will continue to be probably until the boys put out something new. :happy: Each album is absolutely fantastic, though. I could listen to all of them continually forever and never get sick of any of them. :lol:

i cannot really pick one.

but if i had to say AT this exact moment in time it would be warning. but overall their all amazing

i think it makes sense why the votes are sorta in order of when the albums came out (like 21CB is in 1st but 39 smooth in in last)

that probably has something to do with the fact that this site came out around american idiot era so MANY of its fans are leaning towards 2004 - NOW music

Definitely 21st Century Breakdown. I don't know, it just seems to hit so close to my own heart in some ways. Not that it's anything like my own life or my personality or anything, but in some ways I definitely idealize the characters. My friend teasingly said that the song "Last of the American Girls" is like my wet dream in lyric form. In any case, I think it showcases their artistic range in a masterful way, and I feel that they have only grown as musicians and as artists. The album embodies everything that I feel towards, about, and related to Green Day.

1039/SOSH is pure epic-ness!!

21CB is a close second!! (kinda weird, my 2 fave albums are their oldest & newest one)

But hey, all of their albums rock!! There's no doubt about that!! :happy:
