gmcloughlin Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Never heard of them.Getting very curious about the supporting act for the Europe leg of the tour now
Guest Shangri-La Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Eww, not the Offspring! Some bands that would be killer;* Tiger Army.* The Living End.* The Matches.* The Phenomenauts.* Bikini Kill.* Le Tigre.Mmmm.LOL at bikini kill opening. not even in my dreams would that ever happen:(phenomenauts would be cool. i want to see them tour with the Marked Men or Thorns of Life or something. also probably would never happen.
lindzy Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I've heard all three. But I'm not a fan of any. I was hoping for someone really good.
basketcase72492 Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I don't particularly mind the Bravery. I'm going to have to sit through them though. I only know about 2 songs. I would prefer Franz Ferdinand, I actually really like them. The past 2 Green Day shows I've gone to didn't really have very good openers. Jimmy Eat World wasn't that great and My Chemical Romance was just... I don't even know. I'm not a big fan of them.
norcalgreendayfan Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Wow Three very interesting openers for Green Day this tour in The Bravery, Franz Ferdinand and The Kaiser Chiefs. I know none of us fans in North America were expecting these bands
Nomis Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I'd be happy with the support if I was in the US. Having seen Kasiers 4 times, they have never failed to put on an energetic preformance. Never seen FF but from everyone I know who has seen them, has never been disapointed with them.On the Bravery I didn't realise they were still going. I thought they had that 1 hit 'An Honest Mistake' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ilkgwwz-yqg...feature=related then vanished along with many other bands. Now aslong as the UK isn't New Found Glory again, I was looking forward to them when they supported GD in 05, but their preformance was utter shite! :bored:I would love to see BFS, WAS on this tour or I can hope 'TLE' but they'll do the Aussie shows more than likely. But then as long as GD are there i'll be happy as that's who i've paid to see.
**nobodylikesyou** Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 The only time a supporting act really bothered me was when I saw Underoath before TBS. I'm glad its not someone like that.the only time a supporting band ever bothered me was at a green day show in May of 2005. :/I like this song.
Supermodel*Robot Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 what the hell? who the fuck are they anyways?
JAS0N Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I would've loved to see Franz Ferdinand, wouldn't have minded to see the Kaiser Chiefs, hate the fucking Bravery and thats who i'm stuck with.
Guest Shangri-La Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I like this song. I'm glad i'm not the only one!The Bravery do the whole groupie thing... so Beth, looks like we're getting backstage!I would've loved to see Franz Ferdinand, wouldn't have minded to see the Kaiser Chiefs, hate the fucking Bravery and thats who i'm stuck with.Bring earplugs then.
Miqui_Dee Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Franz Ferdinand and the Bravery?! THE HELL?!Who does Green Day suddenly think they are?
Katherine Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Nevermind. I do know them, from that song Believe. They're alright, so is Franz Ferdinand.
Eirik Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Who does Green Day suddenly think they are?I'm going out on a limb here, and I'm gonna guess: a rock band.
deadair Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I so wish Franz Ferdinand would be opening the whole tour with Green Day but at least Green Day is touring this year. I'm trying to look at it positively, since it has been 4 years since they have did a tour. It'll be my first time seeing them.
**nobodylikesyou** Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Franz Ferdinand and the Bravery?! THE HELL?!Who does Green Day suddenly think they are?maybe uhmGreen Day?I'm glad i'm not the only one!The Bravery do the whole groupie thing... so Beth, looks like we're getting backstage!Niiiice.
chewychorizo Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Y'all need to shut up, can't please anyone these daysThe Bravery aren't even that badIt could be worse.
billie-joe-geek72 Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I actually prefer them over the other bands, glad they're opening in Hamilton!
Vanilla Shake Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I must be the only person who likes The Bravery and the Kaiser Chiefs yet only likes one song by Franz Ferdinand. "Time Won't Let Me Go" by The Bravery is one of my all time favorite songs, and I've been getting into the Kaiser Chiefs lately because that's who I'd be seeing with Green Day in New York. Their song "Ruby" is pretty damn good. It's nice to get some indie-ish bands to open for the biggest punk band in the world, instead of throwing another punk band in there to open for Green Day. Adds variety to the show, and maybe people who hadn't heard them before will hear them at the concert and like them. More publicity for these more or less unknown bands."Time Won't Let Me Go"
norcalgreendayfan Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Y'all need to shut up, can't please anyone these daysThe Bravery aren't even that badIt could be worse.True it could be someone like Kings of Leon
