Guest ☼ Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Christians Inferno. Even though I get a feeling of the Network in the beginning, I just don't care for the song at all. I find myself skipping it. Next in line would be Know your Enemy.
HoneyDo666 Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I couldn't vote in this poll! I love every song on 21CB!KYE is just so catchy and pummeling! And so is everything else. The more I listen to this album, the more I realize there isn't a single song I want to skipI CONCUR!
Lauren Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I think the reason why I like Murder City so much was because I heard the live version first and fell in love with it... the album version makes it sound like a bad song! But it's really not; it's amazing!
Captain Pasalacqua Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Christian's Inferno and The Static Age are the only songs that feel very filler to me.
Barley Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 I cannot stand the first line of Restless Heart Syndrome. "I've got a really bad disease." No, just no. That line is so awful it makes me laugh when I hear it. It slays me to the heavens and back. Wow. What were you thinking Billie. And it's almost heartbreaking, because I like the rest of the song, and i have to fast forward over that line and it ruins the mood. But Christian's Inferno bores me, so I picked that. I don't know why Billie Joe suddenly decided he liked repititioning choruses so much.
Guest Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 by the end of the album ive usually stopped paying a lot of attention to the songsso probably see the light or one of those
PunxRockNYC19 Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 mine is see the light, a bad song to end an album. to me that song is boring along with 21 guns. 21 guns will be overplayed like wake me up and i got sick of that song.i do love murder city, peacemaker, viva la gloria, little girl, last of the american girls, american eulogy, horshoes and hangrenades, east jesus nowhere, restless heart syndrome, before the lombotomy. these songs should be singles. i like hearts collide and lights out, they should have been on the album instead of see the light

Jaymee!! Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 To be honest I have yet to listen to The Static Age & Horseshoes and Handgrenades in full.I do not like the marching at the beginning H&H, so it makes me not want to listen to the song. And I don't know what the deal is with TSA and me not listening to it. I just have no desire to.I've also never heard Letterbomb in full before either.
the48maychick Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 My least favourite is definitely 21 Guns. I'm not saying that I don't like it though, just that of the album it is definitely my least favourite.
Barley Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 I enjoy the irony of the first single being the most hated. Do you think they picked that one just because it's so mind-boggling-ing repetitive? Like, how can people not like it when it circles in your brain over and over?
S.cattered Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 probably know your enemy. However, it's NOT a bad song, it just doesn't set any higher ground like some of the other songs like Peacemaker, ¿Viva La Gloria?, or Last Night on EarthMaybe it's good that they chose it as a single though (and a number 1 single at that). That way people can say "If you liked this song, wait till you hear the REST of the album!"Agreed.I still really like Know Your Enemy, I just don't think its quite as good as the rest of the album. The Only Songs I like are Murder City,Pacemaker, the rest of the album just has me saying ahhhhhh I never thought I would not be happy with a green day album after being a fan for like 16years. Everyone hated warning when it came out I loved it, people slammed Ai at 1st I loved it but 21stCB just does not have it punk roots or gives me that feeling most of the punk rock I love,I'm sorry but I don't think it will ever grow on me.Really? I think 21st Century Breakdown in a lot of ways sounds more like Green Day's older stuff than AI. I think smoeone said it before, but I'm not a big fan of the first line of Restless Heart Syndrome either, it just seems... empty or weak or something? I dunno. It doesn't bother me a huge amount or anything, I just find it doesn't work, and it's so out of place with the rest of the song or something....?
kokonut_soda Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 ^ Yep. I didn't really like "Know Your Enemy" at first. It's so repetitive. But I think after hearing it played at every television appearance so far, the song kind of grew on me. It is catchy.I think smoeone said it before, but I'm not a big fan of the first line of Restless Heart Syndrome either, it just seems... empty or weak or something? I dunno. It doesn't bother me a huge amount or anything, I just find it doesn't work, and it's so out of place with the rest of the song or something....?I do like Restless Heart Syndrome, I like the music, but I do have to say the lyrics are pretty weak and cliche.Really? I think 21st Century Breakdown in a lot of ways sounds more like Green Day's older stuff than AI.I kind of agree. 21stCB kind of goes even further than American Idiot did, but at the same time it kinda takes a step back closer to their old stuff. With AI Green Day took a big jump foward, away from their old stuff. With 21st CB, they took a couple steps to the right and one step back. I guess that's how I'd explain it.
Hermione Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Yeah I've started to really like See The Light now. So I can now say I love all the songs, and the album as a whole is fantastic.I've also never heard Letterbomb in full before either. The best part is right before the end, the way he sings the last two lines is wonderful! Give yourself a treat and stick it on!!
Spark of Insanity Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Yeah I've started to really like See The Light now. So I can now say I love all the songs, and the album as a whole is fantastic. The best part is right before the end, the way he sings the last two lines is wonderful! Give yourself a treat and stick it on!!I've really started to like "See the Light" as well too. It sticks in my head a lot for some reason and I like it now.And I cannot stand myself not ever listening to an entire song of theirs, I have to listen to it in full because it may be good at the end and I may pick up on it and like it. And I have been known to hate songs at first then give it another few more try's all the way through and be known to love it. And with every Green Day CD I get, I HAVE to hear it all the way through in its entirety and then I make my favorites.
Princess Consuela Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 See the Light and H&H grew on me. I'd say my least favourite one is Christian's Inferno now. Or simply the least played.
EmmOuGR Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Hmm.probably Horseshoes and Handgrenades..But I have to tell that I'm kinda surprised..I didn't expect Know Your Enemy not to be liked..Personally it's one of my favprites so far.. :whistling:
Wet socks traumatize me Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 I voted Static age, cause it sounds too much like Church on Sunday. But after thinking about it, I think I would vote for Know your enemy. Why did they release that song first?! That was so not the right choice. I believe it's quite unoriginal for a Green Day song and the chords are the same throughout the whole song. Only the little bridge is different...Go Viva La Gloria!
Wylduer Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 "Know Your Enemy" and "Restless Heart Syndrome".don't really like RHS either. but i do like the last 30 seconds of it!
Spark of Insanity Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 don't really like RHS either. but i do like the last 30 seconds of it!Yeah, I am the same. Never grew on me, but I do like the end.
dudley dawson Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 It was super hard to decide, but I went with See The Light just cause its a lil more bland than any of the other songs...I still like it though!Restless Heart Syndrome is the best song on the album imo.
