Agija Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I don't like ¿Viva La Gloria? (Little Girl) as much as the other songs.
kim246 Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 i think NYE is the least fave cos it got ruined by the 30/90 second preview ect.. The excitment jus wasnt there any more. Horseshoes and handgrenades the best by far.
Guest Shangri-La Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 nothing wrong with Bolton. He's an great song writer and musican. Juan do you see this??
Modern Zero. Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Probably Know Your Enemy..... Idk....I mean..I still like that song, I love all the songs on the album, but I just don't like it as much as all the others. I usually end up not liking singles as much as the other songs on the album for some reason. And I gotta say that I don't really care for the song 21CB either...(Although I REALLY like the ending with the "class of thirteen" and the "scream america scream" part. I guess I don't really care for the beginning...? Well besides the like "My generation is zero." line lol idk)
AndrewW91 Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 The only song I dislike is Christian's Inferno. I hate the verses, but I actually love the chorus... Weird.
That Hives Fan Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 KYE didn't fit with all of the other songs at all and it's wasn't a strong single for green day
SynthwaveTrooper Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Juan do you see this??lol what? i have a broad range in my music. lionel richie, green day, megadeth, journey, 3 inches of blood, Dan hill
jose armstrong Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 people are retarded, Christian's inferno is great
dallasthemenace Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 im going to stop reading this thread now. some of the opinions are obsurd...some folks just dont know good music when its pumped into their skulls a week early.
DisgracedCop Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 "Christian's Inferno" definitely has a weird verse/chorus combination that doesn't work, although it is catchy. And "Horseshoes & Handgrenades" is so similar to "Main Offender" by The Hives that I have trouble listening to it.
Spider Tre Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 maybe Last Of The American Girlsidk. that and ¡Viva La Gloria! are the only ones that have yet to grow on me
peepee Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 "Know your enemy" really is a boring song. I think they tried to repeat the "American Idiot" type of song but failed miserably. Kind of reminds me of the repetiveness of Bad Religions "Raise your voice!" only worse."Horseshoes And Handgrenades" is also a song that falls into the gray mass. It doesn't really stand out. There's nothing that makes it interesting."21 Guns" is boring too. Feels like I have heard it a million times already. I don't really like the theme of the song as well as the melody. I don't even know what Green Day is fighting anymore. Bush was the best thing that could happen to punk and with AI Green Day managed great timing, but what now? Obama is not good enough either? I think they made a mistake to keep whining about the politics. It's like the review said, BJ is good at calling for revolution but does not offer any solutions. Im sorry to say it becomes pathetic somehow. Whine just to whine."Viva la gloria" starts of great. Could have been one of the best songs ever written by Green Day but then they ruin it all with the distortion. Damn. They chickened out because probably they thought it was too much of a musical. Beautiful song until 1.07 minutes. "Before the lobotomy" same thing there. Starts of Great! The new and better "Wake me up when september ends" but then it just falls flat on its face. I cant even tell if it is the same song. Boring."Murder city" this song is alright, but to be honest I expected more after all these years and I know BJ can write much better songs. I cant believe a song like this made it on the album. Should have been replaced with "Hearts Collide".

Most those songs you listed are epics! Murder City is the most meh out of them!
peepee Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Obviously it is not a joke. Only an honest opinion. Unlike yourself I am capable of critical thinking despite something I love. Also, take a look at the thread title.
Greenday_Aussie Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 It just surprised me, ouch, whats with the insults, I didnt insult you.
peepee Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I'm sorry if you felt insulted. Not my intention. It's just that if you have a critical view here people are going to slag you. People on here are usually not better than the ones they are critical of.
Punx89 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I think that all the songs are great.my favorite Viva La Gloria
peepee Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I think that all the songs are great.my favorite Viva La GloriaWrong thread. There is another thread for favorite songs.
Guest Hayley Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 This was hard but I don't really like peacemaker.

Ally Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 This was hard but I don't really like peacemaker.thats ones my fave...but anyway...i can't get into christians inferno still...its to much like the network...and if i'm honest i'm not to keen on the network! and know your enemy gets slightly boring when you have heard it a few times.

I actually hated it, and didn't even want to listen to it a second time. The 100th time I heard the song I was much less tired of it; I actually really like the song now. I get less tired of it with each listen.Yeah, even I don't know how that adds up.
