MrGreenDayUK Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I think King Blues would be a good choice as well. And, they have an awesome cover of the above artist's 'Bonkers'.
piratepalmer Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I wanted the Kaisers, that's probably unlikely now
slappyhours Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 THE BRAVERY. Ewwww. I hate them. Whyyyy do all the opening bands suck.
MrGreenDayUK Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I DONT GET WHATS SO BAD ABOUT THE BRAVERY.They gargle some serious jizz.
Tiffx Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 THE BRAVERY. Ewwww. I hate them. Whyyyy do all the opening bands suck.makes the band performing next look better.
MusicalDeviant Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 makes the band performing next look better. Is essentially the same premise for why the brides-maids dresses are always so ugly compared to the bride's gown.
Hellcat Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Ive decided I'm not going to complain about who supports green day.Put yourself in The Bravery / Kaiser Cheifs / Franz Ferdinand or even Simple Plan's shoes.Even if the majority of the audience is their to see green day and may "hate" your bandyou would still be on top of the moon knowing your opening for the best band in the world.so I say congrats and good luck to them. good luck implying still trying to play your bestknowning your going to be smoked by green day haha.and also back on topic for those complaining about bands supporting. your their to see green dayat the end of the day. so why not go to the show with a open heart and ears and who knowsthat support band you where writing off on the forum might just leave a good impression on youand you have discovered a new band.
Kryssi. Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Wow, I definitely think The King Blues should open for Green Day over here, and shite, DIZZIE FTW!!!
NoVaCaInE! Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I think for the UK... Foxboro Hot Tubs should open for Green Day
DeJennsitized Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 ^ I concur. :wink:Out of those, Blink, as they're in my top 5 favourite bands. Sum 41 and Green Day would be a dream come true, but it's unlikely. Also Elliot Minor, but also not a hope in hell.I wouldn't have minded the Kaiser Chiefs. I really can't guess what band will be opening for them in the UK. Can't wait to find out
bass boy Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 none. but i hope rancid will open. or a reunion of op ivy or husker du
Hellcat Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 none. but i hope rancid will open. or a reunion of op ivy or husker duhusker du wouldnt happen anytime soon.and they where talks of op ivy reforming for some shows in a few years after the new rancid recordcomes out and theyve toured that.jesse said that it will probably happen one day but its got to be right with everyones schedules.
piratepalmer Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 none. but i hope rancid will open. or a reunion of op ivy or husker duHusker Du is extremely unlikely more's the pity - however, Bob Mould + Green Day -
katie Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 non of those -.- die toten hossen, gogol bordello, artic monkeys, rancidif gogol bordello went on tour with green day i would pee my pants
RebelofSuburbia Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Fall Out Boy will be touring with Blink 182, so neither of them would be supporting Green Day.
thecomedian Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I hope that Franz Ferdinand would be opening GD in Stockholm because then I would see two of my favourite bands the same day.
