MusicalDeviant Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 In my dream world, Pansy Division would be the opening act. But Franz Ferdinand is one of them. And they're music may not be the best, but they are genuinely nice guys. So I wouldn't mind them being the warm up act.
gmcloughlin Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Out of those options, either MCR or Weezer, but neither really appeal to me :/
TheBullwinkle Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 In my dream world, Pansy Division would be the opening act.I'd explode with happiness. I wouldn't oppose Mr. T Experience either.
MusicalDeviant Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I'd explode with happiness. I wouldn't oppose Mr. T Experience either. What about Foxboro? I would just about die if that happened. 3 solid hours of Green Day goodness? It does a body good.

MusicalDeviant Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 My genitalia would literally fall off.I really hope that when they perform, they randomly play a few strings from something like "Stop, Drop, & Roll" in between songs. Just a little present for those who've really stuck by them.
Nomis Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 It'll be 'The Network' followed by 'Foxboro Hot Tubs'
Boston Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 None of those bands will tour with Green Day. First of all, Blink-182 and Weezer are touring together at some point, so they're ruled out on that basis. Secondly, all 4 bands are big enough to do sold-out headlining tours of their own, so it would detract from Green Day's return to put them on the bill. I hope that Chester French tours as opener-to-the-opener at my show, because I love them. Or maybe Big D could do it, since they're a Bean-Town band.
Ila Reto Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 no one! imagine just green day the whole time? i mean yea they'd be tired out after a while but they can do side projects as their opening bands!
Jack96 Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Blink 182 is the only good one there but I'd prefer it if GD just played more themselves than bother with an opening act and whoever thought of Fall out boy opening there is no way that will ever happen that would ruin the concert so go die in a hole!
musse Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I'm praying it'll be Muse because that would be...amazing.I don't think that's possible. There are no reasons why Muse would tour with GD... I think. But yeah, that would be great. ^____^I actually don't care about the opening band. I could even bear Hannah Montana Please take that back If you say hannah montana would be okay, it will be hannah montana. And I couldn't bear that.
Elis_x Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I don't think that's possible. There are no reasons why Muse would tour with GD... I think. But yeah, that would be great. ^____^yeah.. muse is too big to be just a support band.. ofc, they'll be touring with U2, but that's different, U2 is a legend, one of the greatest bands ever..but muse + green day, that would be the best gig in my life
Hermione Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 but muse + green day, that would be the best gig in my life I concur
nimrod-41 Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Out of those, I chose Blink. Even though I know how unlikely that is seeing as they're gonna make a huge comeback.Maybe they'll do a tour together next year or something...But I'm more interested in the UK support seeing as that's where I am. *Cough*Alkaline Trio and Jimmy Eat World*Cough*

It's plausible as well. Here's hoping.

Ally Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 no of them, as much as i'd like to see all of them i dont think they will be supporting green day, i dunno who it could be though maybe someone we have never even heard of yet, a bit of new music.^^ Jimmy eat world ftw!
MrGreenDayUK Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I think an old, lesser-known Gilman Band would be good, kind of like they did with Pansy Division in 94. Mr T Experience, The Queers, someone like that? I think the music styles would compliment each other well.
