Juan Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 ^YES it was dammit, listen again. shit, am I mormon?Only if you marry EJN, and that's pretty ironic itself
Greenday_Aussie Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Thats it! The chorus of EJN is the same (sort of) as Sally by FBHT! I think.... I know its one of the Foxxy songs though!
**nobodylikesyou** Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Anyone figured out what Green Day song is playing in the intro of EJN yet?Last Night on earth?
pooldude256 Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 EJN wasnt as good as I thought, the intro is epic...then it gets to Foxboro (I still cant find what song it is with the same melody....)Damn American Girls is catchy!I have to laugh when someone on here brings up how a GD song sounds like Foxboro or the Network. I mean...I know you all know it's the same guys, but for some reason you think they aren't allowed to use similar sounds which may have been written before the side project (at least in the case of Foxboro). Is it Billie's voice which is slightly different that makes you think of FHT or what?Personally I don't care. It's music. I enjoy it all the same.Only if you marry EJN, and that's pretty ironic itselfHmm, so EJN is Mormon then?

And btw, EJN is not a mormon, but he will have to if he wants to marry Beth

Mato Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Thats it! The chorus of EJN is the same (sort of) as Sally by FBHT! I think.... I know its one of the Foxxy songs though!Yes - the whole song actually reminds on Hot Tubs, especialy the solo part with bas and Billie Joe.
Greenday_Aussie Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Everytime I hear 21 Guns I wanna cry like a baby, but I cant...Im a man . Its scary how much I can relate to it though!
crazy_ruspunkgirl Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 i fell in loe with 21 guns and peacemaker, and my parents too))
Greenday_Aussie Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Last Night on earth?During the intro, there is a GD song played, among chatter, just before the Godless nation bit.
Eirik Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Power Pop will always be stuff like Undertones, Cheap Trick and Weezer, say what you want but that's good musicYeah, even The Who is Power Pop.
British Idiot Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 The very beginning of 21CB, with the Ooooooooooooooos with the guitar chords in the background is just beautiful. Such an awesome start to an album
b u r n o u t Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Oh wow, you just had to say that. I totally was hearing the same thing, but just kept my mouth shut. IIIIIIII just want to see the light - IIIIIII just want to die in your arms tonight!".*shakes head*I know right? You wouldn't happen to have a torrent for Hearts Collide would you? Only song I'm missing.Does anyone have a torrent for Hearts Collide? Bueller?
Juliette Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Everytime I hear 21 Guns I wanna cry like a baby, but I cant...Im a man . Its scary how much I can relate to it though!I did cry the first few times I listen to it. Can't wait to hear it live, it's gonna be epic.
Astrid. Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Last Of The American Girls and The Static Age are really addictive. I like it
valeria carci Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 so, I just heard at MTV a guy introducing the new album as a "continuation of AI"I was wondering what do you guys who have listened to the whole record thinkis that true??
The Judges Daughter Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I LOVE the Rhapsody video..Especially Jesus with the lawnmower
SynthwaveTrooper Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 so, I just heard at MTV a guy introducing the new album as a "continuation of AI"I was wondering what do you guys who have listened to the whole record thinkis that true??no, def not true.
Fulano Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 so, I just heard at MTV a guy introducing the new album as a "continuation of AI"I was wondering what do you guys who have listened to the whole record thinkis that true??it's not like American Idiot. It's more, more, more better...The lyrics are so perfect than in American Idiot, the structure of the history in songs are more perfect....Maybe the history is a continuation of American Idiot [linear], but the album is not a continuation of American Idiot.I think that it's an pic of the atual days
b u r n o u t Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 no, def not true.I disagree. I think 21st Century Breakdown and American Idiot go hand in hand. They're both very similar in composition.
.Holly Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 so, I just heard at MTV a guy introducing the new album as a "continuation of AI"I was wondering what do you guys who have listened to the whole record thinkis that true??definately not true, 21CB is very different to AI
Laura33 Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I can't wait to hear Peacemaker live, should be interesting.I seem to have developed a fetish for the way he sings this bit in Last Of The American Girls and I don't know why XDShe puts her makeup onLike graffiti on the walls of the heartland
theeulogy Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I'd like to hear Tre' singing once againBut he doesn't
pooldude256 Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Yes - the whole song actually reminds on Hot Tubs, especialy the solo part with bas and Billie Joe.Listening to Sally right now, and yeah I can see some similarities. But I don't think it matters. It's all Green Day, and the song could have been influenced by EJN.so, I just heard at MTV a guy introducing the new album as a "continuation of AI"I was wondering what do you guys who have listened to the whole record thinkis that true??Goddamnfuckingassholes...I hate people. They make idiotic assumptions just because they don't have the brain capacity to do any research, or to actually be informed before making stupid statements. This coming from someone at MTV it makes sense. They hype up the new album, then try to tear it down.Unfortunately we'll get a lot of morons who will write it of as an AI copy. It's too bad because it really isn't. And if they had the required brain cells to take in the new music it would be astonishing.
