DeJennsitized Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I tried to wait, I really did. But then that banner kept popping up in the corner of my eye. So I couldn't resist. LOVE the album. I can't pick a favourite...not yet, anyway, because I've only listened to the album the whole way through about twice, without reading the lyrics at the same time. But a few songs that stick out are Viva La Gloria!, 21 Guns, Horseshoes and Handgrenades, Peacemaker, RHS, and that little bit in Last of the American Girls, after the chorus, that sounds almost electronic. Awesome.^ i suppose so but OH MY GOD im listening to Viva La Gloria (little girl) and i'm like "HOLY CRAP THAT"S THE SONG! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yGoEG1Jn5s...nnel_page"Ha, I noticed that too! That's so awesome.
farley drexel hatcher Posted May 8, 2009 Author Posted May 8, 2009 Haha yeah I've heard all that but I want something left for when I buy the CD. The 6 songs alone will tide me over for a week Exactly, I want to save it for the CD too. I'm not even listening to the 6 songs anymore
Hermione Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Exactly, I want to save it for the CD too. I'm not even listening to the 6 songs anymoreI salute your willpower! My little brother has the whole album though, I even have to put music on to stop myself from hearing it through his door . So I need something to fall back on

gdpunk2 Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 ahhhh I couldent resist temptation I tried not to listen to it until next week, but it was too hard. Well worth it thoughi just thought to myself, well, its there to listen to, its not like its illegal or anything, its basically as if its been released today, so that makes it seem no different to it being released next week, so that makes it OK for me to listen to it, im saving a few songs though till next week. Who else thinks that Murder City is amazing?

Miqui_Dee Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 This morning, my second day home from the hospital after being there for 13 days and enduring lung surgery after a collapsed lung, I read the glorious words "Listen to the new Green Day album in its entirety" or something to that effect. My shitty life has been brightened once again by the lovely trio known as Green Day. I was extremely doubtful about this album, but now I know that I have nothing to worry about. This album still holds Green Day's charm while branching out to new dimensions. I am madly in love with most songs, but not necessarily all (Know Your Enemy is my worst enemy. I can't stand that song). I can't wait to have a physical copy in my bruised callused hands, most likely in vinyl form. I can't wait to slap it down on the record player like I'm about to rape it and let it play loudly throughout my room. God, I love Green Day. I was worried for a while there that I didn't but now I know the truth. There is a God, and his name is Billie Joe Armstrong.
