Elis_x Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I just cried after listening to restless heart syndrome , I have no idea why .haha same here.. that lines: "I 'm a victim of my symptomI am my own worst enemy" are awesome..oh "bless me lord for I have sinned" but I couldn't wait to next friday..I love the whole album, but my favourites and my tips for next singles are:- Restless Heart Syndrome- East Jesus Nowhere- 21 Guns.. my favourite
GreenNimrod Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 oth viva la gloria are awesome, but the solo of little GIRL is very good and awesome!
Snorri Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I'm listening to the album right now I'm on Last Night On Earth
The Disappearing Boy Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 im not gonna listen to the songs that i haven't heard yet......its difficult!!!love the static age.
Tek Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 It's very "melancholy" and "reflective". That is why it succeeds so much. It literally makes you go back, and think of all the songs on the album - makes you fee like you have been on this incredible journey, and it's coming to and end.See the Light tried to be that (i think) - and did not succeed.I agree...I like how the songs all blend into each other...but then the album just ends weird...a bit flat...
b u r n o u t Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 See the Light = (I Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight by Cutting CrewYou know it to be true.

mad hatter. Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I have an obsession with ?Viva La Gloria? It's fantastic.I'm digging Horseshoes and Handgrenades now, too.
perfectpitchrob Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I have an obsession with ?Viva La Gloria? It's fantastic.I'm digging Horseshoes and Handgrenades now, too.those were the only two songs I never heard anything of (excluding the first footage of the band recording the former).?Viva la gloria? sounds nothing like I have ever heard green day do before. It's right out of left field and it's excellent!and H&HG reminds me of the nimrod era. It's a fun and catchy song
Tek Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Here are my fav songsPeacemakerBoth Gloria songsChristian's Inferno ( I like the network sound to it )Last of the American Girls ( even tho it sounds so far away from Green Day )Murder CityStatic Age 21 GunsAmerican Euology

Jessayy Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 They were thinking smart, the casuals will eat that song up and make them buy the album.it did horriblely in the charts though...
Laura33 Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I caved and listened to it and HOLY SHIT! When I am coherent I will probably write a better review of what I thought, but the word 'phenomenal' comes to mind. I think 21 Guns and Peacemaker are my favs so far, but the whole thing is fucking brilliant.Oh and in regards to KYE, I think they are doing the same as AI. I think American Idiot is my least fav song on AI, but it caught peoples attention because it was anthem-like *shrugs*
Laura33 Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 it did horriblely in the charts though...Because they just released it out of no-where and did fuck all to promote it XD.
Katherine Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I really love this whole album, it's hard to pick favorites. This, in my opinion, is their best album ever.

KYE simply doesn't build up. By the time they go back to the chorus, you just want it to end.
