Split Green Day / General

I like I said a few months ago. Please split them before the album releases and than when things start to get slower then you can merge them back. There is going to be a big explosion of n00bz soon.

Wasn't there a whole debate about this years ago? Anyways, people here are stupid, they'll post Green Day related threads in the General Chat anyway. It wouldn't really make that much of a difference.

I voted to seperate them, but re-merge them once things slow down again.

Honestly, I like the general threads, but when Green Day info is out, I'm only here to talk about Green Day. It's a pain to sift through everything at once when there's so much going on.

I think if they're seperate, those of us that just want to talk about Green Day will be able to find the threads WE want more easily, while those who want to discuss other topics as well can find the threads they want more easily. And people who want to talk in both, well... they know where to look.

Definitely! I really only come on to talk about/read about Green Day - to have it all in one place would be ideal. Most band forums do, after all; it's simply logical.

Most band forums aren't as good as this one though :wink:. Why is that? I say it's the interesting mix of people you get by having general and band threads together.

None of the other separated out sections of the site (eg. On The Road, Other Band Chat etc) have nearly as much fun and banter going on as the wonderful Green Day/General Chat

I love the idea of spliting them.

I'm always kind of scanning looking for GD news over world/general news and topics. I think it would make it easier to find info and topics that way.

plus, the way i see it is Green Day is general chat, this is a Green Day forum after all. they hav to stay mixed!

That's simply simple to simply do.

They should be split from now until the 21st Century Breakdown era is over. The "pinned" section has at least 5 threads in it daily, and many more important ones get pushed down the list due to lack of room. It would be more organized and therefore more enjoyable to have Green Day and General Chat be two different sections.

Yeah just until things chill out...there is so much Green Day news today that the forum gets way to blocked up.

But i love reading some of the other interesting things on this "main page" so I think that the separation should only be temporary.

Haha, I haven't been on the forum in a long time, but I see this issue is still up for debate. I've always voted for them to be split, and especially now

yeah, it's just a mess of stuff i think it would be easier if things were divided. when it calms down then it would good to merge

I voted yes, but merge them later...I think that would be the best idea, because there won't be very much news after everything cools down from 21CB. Either way, splitting them is definitely a good idea.
