just make another button with General Topics only. and then thats it.

then people can choose if they want to see green day only, or general only, or both at the same time.

i voted that we should split, but re-merge when things calm down a bit.

and perhaps put the 'General Chat' forum in the 'Green Day' section.

i say that because GC is still very often used, and putting it down with off topic etc, would mean it was used less etc.

I like it as it is, I know it's a bit busy atm, but I like having it all together, I never really go on the other sections of the forum, to be honest I wish it was all just together haha. That would be ever so confusing though, and things would constantly be disapearing to the next page..

I'm much more likely to post in different topics (Green Day and General) if they're mixed together. I'm sure people are intelligent enough to sort through posts to find the Green Day stuff. Most of the time it's on the front page and if it's not it usually means it's died a bit anyway.

If they're only gonna be put back together later on, they may as well be left alone. Plus, I've seen them separated before and one tends to die without the other.

So, finally I have the time for my rant why it shouldn't be split.

It's handy like this, because you don't have to jump between different parts of the forum, which will have to when it's getting split. Also, there will probably form 'groups', because there are people who won't come to the General part, and people who won't come to the Green Day part. Also, a lot of the threads get kind of mixed up with what's being discussed, GD gets discussed in 'General threads' and the other way, when it gets split up, probably things will get closed or people bashing at other because "if you want to discuss Green Day, you should go to the Green Day part!" or the other way round.

Hmm, actually that wasn't really a rant.

Please do, there's too much going on just now for the general waffle. I keep missing posts on the band because of it. The topics page never seems as up to date as this one with the latest news. It would be great on days we are pushed for time.
