boosho Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 ^ MP4 format is iPod format And thanks for this! When I heard Little Girl over the credits I was gutted they hadn't aired it.Thats what i thought (sorry i dont know much about video types) but when i tried to put it on my ipod it didnt work.. SO i am converting to Ipod format (whatever that is) and will see if that works..
Alan86 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I think they did the whole album and some AI songs too, The Radio one session also had Before the Lobotomy.. So i would say all the other songs are recorded somewhere but i dont believe any other songs have actually been aired..I hope everything they played that day shows up eventually

Hermione Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Being in Australia means we get everything like a million and one years later... SO i am sorry to restart this topic but i thought its better to post here than to start a new thread.. Anyways last week the Green Day Abbey Road session aired for the first time in Australia and even though i had already downloaded the video from the UK airing being Green Day I still recorded and watched and i'm glad i did because it's different to the UK one... It had different songs and the interview is slightly different. But best of all are the songs.. They played Little Girl.. YAY Setlist: - American Idiot (already on UK one) - 21 Century Breakdown - Viva La Gloria (little girl) - Murder City Its a bit large coz i wanted to keep it HQ as much as i could.. It was a little annoying doing it coz the whole episode actually had 2 other bands' sessions and they were all mixed and so i had to edit it. This is the first time i upload, edit, convert or do any modification to a media file... Anyways hope you will enjoy it anyways.. (sorry for my rambling i tend to do that sometimes all the time) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3SSZREFY Wow I've only just seen this posted, thank you so much! I remember on the UK version during the end credits you could hear them start to play Little Girl in the background, it was so annoying to know they'd played it and we weren't allowed to see it . Gonna enjoy sitting down and watching this later

Spastic Socialite Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Oh Geeez!!! You're kidding! Wow, I mean so cool, but at the same time it's a damn pity You couldn't be there. I'll go furius and totally crazy if I were You no joke. I had my outfit planned and everything!! ( haha i kid) yea my friends step uncle has done quite a few bits and bobs like the mobo and brit awards, but as always with the filming indusrty its nearly impossible to get in backstage. On the plus side I saw/met Tre, Mike, Jason, Jason at this privite viewing of that art exhib they had in london ( I have a knack for doing anything to ge into these kind of events with usually no outcome). It kind of made up for it.. but not really.
novacaine_kid Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Wow I've only just seen this, so glad this is out there for all of us who didn't get to see the unaired songs. Love the "Oh are you waiting for me" from Tre before Murder City
Kayfabe Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Wow I've only just seen this, so glad this is out there for all of us who didn't get to see the unaired songs. Love the "Oh are you waiting for me" from Tre before Murder City Was wondering why this got bumped. Yes, we are all looking at you.
novacaine_kid Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Was wondering why this got bumped. Yes, we are all looking at you. If that was directed at me, I didn't bump this thread If it wasn't.. then... nevermind
Hermione Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Was wondering why this got bumped. Yes, we are all looking at you.The person who "bumped" it did so because they'd very kindly recorded and uploaded a totally new version of the show that was aired in Australia. It has different songs and different interview footage, and it's wonderful. Just about worth the bump I think.Anyway I really enjoyed it . LOVED Little Girl and loved the banter between the boys. I urge anyone who hasn't watched this Australian version to watch it immediately!
tvrman Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 It is unfortunate that TV companies have a library of wonderful stuff that never gets aired. They complain about not making enough money and yet if someone could get their act together they could put out some wonderful DVDs or new broadcasts together. This is not just effecting Green Day fans, it the same with many other groups on other channels. Surely the best/worst example was the BBC's Beatles material that eventually saw the light of day.Kudos for posting the Australian version and Kudos for bumping this thread instead of starting a new one. hahaa!! My best friend's step uncle directed this!I was SOOO close to going on the day, but they said no at the last minutewould have been EPICNow go and ask him very nicely for a copy of the whole show..... and then let us have copies. tvrman
Miss Hedgie Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 I'm sure I saw this shortly before the release of 21st CB.It was very good. I remember sitting there thinking this is why I love them.
tvrman Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 To UK members: I notice in the listings that there is an extended version of Live from Abbey Road on Sunday 6th December at 1215am (that is Sat night/Sun morning) which includes Green Day. It is on channels C4 and C4HD, I have no idea whether it is an exact repeat or part of what we have seen before, or even if we will get lucky and get something new.tvrman
farley drexel hatcher Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 ^ Hasn't that already been on? Do we know what it turned out to be?
tvrman Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 ^ Hasn't that already been on? Do we know what it turned out to be?I do not know. I report what I find. To rephrase; the original show was shorter and only Green Day, this is a longer show that includes Green Day.tvrman
Psycho Britney Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Thank you for pointing us in this direction-it was brillant! Thanks to who put it on Youtube-I have a feeling it'll be going on my ipod soon! I just wish that they'd air all the footage in one long programme-it was so nice to see some of the other songs getting played!
tvrman Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Thank you for pointing us in this direction-it was brillant! I just wish that they'd air all the footage in one long programme-it was so nice to see some of the other songs getting played! Yes it was and I totally agree - one long programme would be perfect. They played the same as stated a few posts earlier: - American Idiot (already on the first one)- 21 Century Breakdown- Viva La Gloria (little girl)- Murder Citytvrman
