These guys are showing some major restraint i'll give them that. thing is though some of them, and i mean only some not all, are rubbing it in a bit that they are waiting. posting in every topic about the album just to highlight the fact they aint listening yet. Can detect a little elitism there in places. we who listen are just as good fans of the band that they are. thats just my view. i did not have the restraint to hold off til friday and im glad i didnt, cuz i got to enjoy a wonderful album a week early

We're not saying that people that have listened already are bad fans and we're not trying to be arrogant that we haven't listened yet. Or at least myself. Yes I have that little saying in my sig but that's to remind the other people that haven't listened to it yet to hang in a little longer. But I'm not going into threads about the album just to post that I haven't listened to it yet. There are some, but the majority of us are just chillin' here.

I understand what you mean, and I hope I don't come off that way. I'm not waiting because I think it makes me a better fan or anything. I just wanted the highest quality experience for my first listen, and I think this is the way to get it. I actually received the CD yesterday, but I was in such a bad mood I decided to just wait till Friday as planned. I'll have the day off and be able to really enjoy it. Or Thursday night might work if the day doesn't go to badly.

The thing that's aggravated me, though, is the number of people who seem to think they need to convince us to change our minds ... or who just call us names or make fun of our reasons for waiting. Just because someone doesn't get me is no reason for them to think I'd be better off being like them.

My reasons for waiting are all purely selfish, and I'm not ashamed to admit it . I hope you're thoroughly enjoying your listening. I've really been loving most of the comments I read, and they have only increased my anticipation! So I'm glad not EVERYONE is waiting .

I know you said only some of us do that, so I'm pretty sure I am not included in your list, but I was actually a bit surprised to read your comment. I haven't exactly noticed any elitism around the board except for maybe in this thread, but I think that's only fair since this thread is a gathering of all us that are waiting. Sure there are people counting down and having '21CB virgin' in their signature but to me that seems to be nothing more as excitement.

Apart from that, J'net just pretty much worded out my response to this:
