Guest n o n a m e* Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 noooo =( The performances run from 7-9 a.m., and there are typically 3-4 songs performed during this time.If there is space available, they sometimes allow entry up until the performance begins at 8:30 a.m.so they only get a half hour to play
Samantha Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I'm thinking it might not be worth it... I shall wait to see my loves on TV this week and then in July
mmmcrazypills Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 My plans have been pretty much solidified so I guess I'm spending 10 hours on a bus. Hopefully it's more than 3 or 4 songs for that crazy ass bus ride.

If you want to see them, just go to Rumsey Playfield via the 69th street entrance on Fifth Avenue at 6:00am when the park opens to the public. The show is free and open to the public. The band will go on stage at approximately 8:30am EST/PST.

J'net Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Whoever is going there, have fun Thanks, Anja. I'm going to try to go though it suddenly occurs to me that, since Daniel has gone home, I'd be wandering around NYC by myself in the wee hours. Whatever, though, I think I'm up for it (if I go to bed now ).

Robin105 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I wonder how many songs they will play. Is it an actual concert or just a live performance (like SNL was)?
AndrewSon Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I wonder how many songs they will play. Is it an actual concert or just a live performance (like SNL was)?No idea...! my VIP pass says they will do 2-3 songs but i think its just a standard form for all VIP events there-- not specifically Green Day..

Nimrod99 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 ok, so I have a question about GMA. I can't go to the show (I'm on the opposite coast), what time will the concert (or 3-4 songs) be airing on tv in PST? I'm thinking at about 8:30, but I don't want to miss it. I'll have to record it on tape being as ABC is having issues with my satillite provider. I'm debating on setting my alarm(s) for 6AM, but I hope I can stay awake long enough to catch it.
J'net Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Getting ready to leave my hotel and head for the ferry to the subway to the park. Hope I get in - not worried about getting up close for this one - I'll just be happy if I get in. Wish me luck .
