Femme Gauche Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 What company to be in XD. But that kind of amuses me. It will be interesting for the vanilla audience...
AndrewSon Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 YES one more weeek till this show!!! can't wait to see them perform .. this will be my first time seeing green day live, ive been waiting 5 years to finally see them live.
son Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 im hoping [if i dont somehow win VIP passes to gma] that i can start a place in like for GDC members. the only problem is 1. i would probably get there at 4-4:30am. i know people will be camping overnight, so i may be in a huge line, and lots of GDC members may be way ahead, or arrive at 6 on the dot to piss off some2. i would be the sole one mega skinny kid waiting at 4 for a huge group, even though im 6' tall, so if some mega motorcycle bald dude gives me an evil eye for letting someone cut, i may die
kennyfte Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Im planning on going and camping out, maybe earlier than I did for the Signing, but Central Park opens to the public at 6AM so we would have to camp outside the entrance then run to the place. This should be interesting. I hope they set up a line or something.

mmmcrazypills Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 wow I thought I was hardcore planning to get there at like 1 or 2 am straight off the Fung Wah.
AndrewSon Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Good thing im a VIP for this event hehhe :-P dont gotta camp out lol
mmmcrazypills Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 New Yorkers, ease the mind of a frenemy Bostonian; 2 possibly 3 girls are going to this via the fung wah unarmed and unaccompanied by any male friends, are we totally going to get raped/mugged/killed?
tuwlol Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 New Yorkers, ease the mind of a frenemy Bostonian; 2 possibly 3 girls are going to this via the fung wah unarmed and unaccompanied by any male friends, are we totally going to get raped/mugged/killed?One or two in the morning at Central Park?Probably on normal occasions They'll probably be a load of people and maybe coverage..so no worries.
mmmcrazypills Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Is going from here:http://www.fungwahbus.com/t-map.aspxTo the venue going to be like the sketchiest walk of my life?
tuwlol Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 You're walking from there to the venue??I'm pretty sure it's at 69th and 5th...so you'd be walking all the way from downtown to uptown (which is quite a distance) and that late at night / early in the morning, I doubt it'd be safe. It'd be better to walk to the Canal St. subway station and take the uptown 6 train to 68th and Lexington and walk to 69th and 5th (even though that's nearly as sketchy). It's pretty close, just one block and three avenues. That's what I plan on doing.. about six hours later.
mmmcrazypills Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I did that in the daytime once and it wasn't fun (and in the rain no less, my feet were all blistered so there is a lovely trail of my blood around the met).I meant walk from whereever the bus gets off to the nearest public transportation and then head uptown. Walking was just shorter and I didn't proofread for coherency. But if you're pretty confident I won't die I suppose I'll believe you. I've only seen Manhattan in the daytime.

Bloody Mascara Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 grrrrr. I wanna go. That would involve taking an 8 hour bus from Pittsburgh, staying up all night. Getting there at 4AM. And spending another $120 bucks.I want to go so bad. but I'm not in the financial position. UGH.
