Ha, I'm expecting like 4.

Btw what time is everybody else getting there? I'm hoping to wait overnight.

I'm just going to stop by there on my way to school..so at like 7:30..and check it out, I guess.

Too much of a coward to skip though :(

What company to be in XD. But that kind of amuses me. It will be interesting for the vanilla audience...

im hoping [if i dont somehow win VIP passes to gma] that i can start a place in like for GDC members. the only problem is

1. i would probably get there at 4-4:30am. i know people will be camping overnight, so i may be in a huge line, and lots of GDC members may be way ahead, or arrive at 6 on the dot to piss off some

2. i would be the sole one mega skinny kid waiting at 4 for a huge group, even though im 6' tall, so if some mega motorcycle bald dude gives me an evil eye for letting someone cut, i may die

Im planning on going and camping out, maybe earlier than I did for the Signing, but Central Park opens to the public at 6AM so we would have to camp outside the entrance then run to the place. This should be interesting. I hope they set up a line or something.

Because I'm not going to the two NYC shows, I'm going to this.

I'm going the night before. Or maybe the afternoon before right after I get out of school.

See you all there. Someone bring UNO.

New Yorkers, ease the mind of a frenemy Bostonian; 2 possibly 3 girls are going to this via the fung wah unarmed and unaccompanied by any male friends, are we totally going to get raped/mugged/killed?

One or two in the morning at Central Park?

Probably on normal occasions :D

They'll probably be a load of people and maybe coverage..so no worries. :)

You're walking from there to the venue??

I'm pretty sure it's at 69th and 5th...so you'd be walking all the way from downtown to uptown (which is quite a distance) and that late at night / early in the morning, I doubt it'd be safe.

It'd be better to walk to the Canal St. subway station and take the uptown 6 train to 68th and Lexington and walk to 69th and 5th (even though that's nearly as sketchy). It's pretty close, just one block and three avenues.

That's what I plan on doing.. about six hours later. :P

I did that in the daytime once and it wasn't fun (and in the rain no less, my feet were all blistered so there is a lovely trail of my blood around the met).

I meant walk from whereever the bus gets off to the nearest public transportation and then head uptown. Walking was just shorter and I didn't proofread for coherency.

But if you're pretty confident I won't die I suppose I'll believe you. I've only seen Manhattan in the daytime.

uh if you walk on lexington you should be fine, or fifth ave. its not THAT dangerous. its creepy around canal that time, but if you are with a group of six you should be fine. i would say honestly take the 6 train to hunter college and walk it. its not as bad as coming from harlem X]

i live in the south bronx, so i wouldnt compare that as dangerous

grrrrr. I wanna go. That would involve taking an 8 hour bus from Pittsburgh, staying up all night. Getting there at 4AM.

And spending another $120 bucks.

I want to go so bad. but I'm not in the financial position. UGH.
