I went to the concert today and the guy behind me actually started the "fuck the weather" chants lol

throughout the show i got pushed to the front and at the end when Tre threw drumsticks i caught one and this asshole grabbed it from my hands out of nowhere and started pulling at it and and we were at it for some time when his group of friends just came out of nowhere and started screaming pete you can do it take the drumstick! and i was like WTF??!?! and this one nice person tried to help me but at the end they ran off with the drumstick and i was so angry and pissed off i cried :/

Damn im sorry that happened that is so uncool that you got the drumstick and some random dude just came and ended up ripping it out of your hands, I swear what is wrong with people that they think they can just be an asshole and do that kind of shit. Don't worry though karma will get him good for doing that to you

Im gonna say it, that was one of the best Green Day concerts EVER. Even just watching, the atmosphere was intense, and Billie is obviously a morning person, he seemed so happy before and after the show (by the looks of the photos!)

Your welcome and thats cool it was your first time seeing them and should have gotten a drumstick if it wasnt for that jerk, I never came close to getting anything like a pick or drumstick, I hoping I get lucky in August when I see them and I do hope your next concert experience will be better as well especially if your going to see them at MSG

LOL @ the terrible censorship skills. And I find it VERY funny that the crowd was chanting 'Fuck the weather' at one point. Does anyone have a video of that? I'm dying to hear/see it.

Whoa, I just saw the videos and realized how large the crowd was.

I was all the way in the left back and the crowd was pretty..uncrowded..but the videos look kind of...crowded.

Ha. Anyway.

THAT WAS AMAZING.

IGNORE THE FACT I WAS ONLY THERE FOR THREE SONGS...:(

I got to Central Park at around 7:25ish and they were playing Murder City, and there were all these other school kids and we heard the band and we just started running and the police are all like "Whoa, slow down," but really...who would listen?

I could barely see the stage and see what they were doing but the sound was awesome. And the best part was when they left, they went parallel to all the people standing at the back and I saw them for the first time awesomely up close..okay, not really.. but there were only two barriers between the band and us..and...well..okay maybe I'm overreacting. BUT IT WAS STILL AWESOME. :happy:

IT WAS SO AMAZING.

I got there at 3am ish. I was one of the first 50 people in line. I made friends with the chill ass people next to us and this kid was hooking me up with no doz WHICH WAS THE BIGGEST LIFE SAVER EVER. I was so fucking exhausted. I haven't slept since I woke up 830am Thursday morning. I spent a9 cummulative hours on a fucking bus. Every single part of me aches. I could not be happier. It was really the perfect day.

Dude, this show was seriously so much more amazing than I expected. It was almost like a giant Green Day party because it wasn't all just about the music since it was on an outside show but just the most random funny things kept happening like all of the fans chanting "FUCK THE WEATHER" when Sam Champion went on because nobody in gave a shit about it at the time, Tre and Mike played baseball against the crowd using dozens of blow up beach balls, and Tre ran around with toilet paper during an attempted interview with Mike and Billie (for those of you who saw that on tv- we couldnt hear a thing they were saying in the interview- the whole crowd was just laughing at Tre).

I dont think ABC understood what they were getting themselves into when they invited Green Day to be on their network!

Damn that sucks you wont be able to see them when they come to MSG because youll be out of town, you should have tried to go to the Hartford show then :wink: but i am sure they will be heading to New York again after they complete the Europe and Australia/South American tours when they make the second go around of North America
